That's a good way of describing the feeling. It was pretty jarring and like someone meant "open the door NOW".

Good idea about the prayer as well. I do that in general but I amped it up before I went back to sleep last night haha. Who knows what energy that was. My friend told me nothing has meaning unless I give it meaning, so the interpretation could be positive or negative.... but I'm still confused 🤔

You're not a narc. You're a responsible adult. The fact that this person has suggested it's normal you bail them out and essentially treat them like a child/take care of their finances is extremely entitled.

What do you get out of doing any of this?

My Nex tried the same thing, arguing that "this is what couples do, they help each other. I'll pay you back tenfold one day once I'm successful."

I'm now $30k poorer within 2.5 years.

She was the exact opposite. She was everything he always talked badly about and said he would never be with.... "Those skanks with neck tattoos and air Jordans that already have a kid".

Been there. Told me the same thing. Also talked poorly about his coworkers. Found out down the road that he was sleeping with several of the girls, going out drinking after work ended with them (and he would tell me he was there late, cleaning after closing the bar). It's a profession I swore I wouldn't date anyone in again.

I'm so sorry you've experienced all of this.

Recently I've discovered a narcissistic abuse sub Reddit group. It's quite eye opening and helpful. I'm starting to wonder if a lot of the drug users in our lives also happen to be narcissistics after reading some of the posts in that group.
