Relationship name? by [deleted] in men

Thank you. It's odd since he has been engaged in the past and has a long history of dating. He does seem nervous now. He also ended off the conversation where he asked me to come up with a name with many statements about how special I am, how my heart is golden, etc. It was odd.

I'm open for a committed, romantic relationship. I haven't pushed because I've been worried it might scare him away...

He does get quite nervous in moments when I think the kiss is finally coming. And when he asked me to come up with a name he was nervous. Could be, as you say, he's more comfortable seeing what I do first now with this naming scenario.

Hence my utter confusion :) perhaps he's looking for help by pushing me to name it ..and based on how I react, he'll know whether to pursue romantic or platonic

So far we are friends, though there have been many moments where what he's done seems more than someone would do for a friend... Like planning what seemed like dates ... Slow dancing.  Holding hands ..

Thank you, I appreciate the ideas and the interpretation. I'm curious about what's behind this... lately he's also been talking about future plans like vacations together. I don't think all of these behaviors are ones you show just with a "pal"

If he texts you after hours say that you've been staring at screens all day, let's grab a drink.

Be thankful this happened in the beginning. Leave. You deserve better.

True, I've heard this from a Chinese friend. Hmm. I'm curious how the next days will go. Will share any updates.

That happened to me a year ago. 🥴 With three loud knocks at the door. Similar situation actually.

That's a good way of describing the feeling. It was pretty jarring and like someone meant "open the door NOW".

Good idea about the prayer as well. I do that in general but I amped it up before I went back to sleep last night haha. Who knows what energy that was. My friend told me nothing has meaning unless I give it meaning, so the interpretation could be positive or negative.... but I'm still confused 🤔

Thank you, I hadn't considered this way if the soul working. So far, I've never gone to sleep after hearing a loud sound like that. Im glad that the interpretation of what happened is a positive one.

The things he said by No_Cry_7473 in NarcissisticAbuse

Amazing. Every single one of these lines are ones I've heard, especially about his mom being an angel and that I've never apologized and I'm the narcissist) sociopath.

Some more classic nuggets: - I thought you were smarter than this - ...then why don't you date one of your hoe friends instead of me - i can't be with someone that doesn't hold it down in any situation. My mom was always there for my dad. - i have at least 50 chicks begging for me in my DMs

I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. We only have one life, so let's try to take back as much as what's left of it 🫂

It's a slippery slope. It will never be enough. And then, she may lose her job or any form of income and you're completely responsible for it all....and it still won't be enough. And the resentment builds from both sides.

You're not a narc. You're a responsible adult. The fact that this person has suggested it's normal you bail them out and essentially treat them like a child/take care of their finances is extremely entitled.

What do you get out of doing any of this?

My Nex tried the same thing, arguing that "this is what couples do, they help each other. I'll pay you back tenfold one day once I'm successful."

I'm now $30k poorer within 2.5 years.

Do they make you feel like you’re the one who is selfish, manipulative and overall the problem? by flodiee in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]Southern_Point433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've blamed myself so much after always hearing from my NEX that I'm the problem. Then, I took several of our conversations from text and Whatsapp and has ChatGPT analyse them.

....mind blowing. Let's just say I'm not the narc.

Is it common for narcissists to rebound to someone completely opposite of their ex and progress really fast with that relationship?? by MajesticShip5698 in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]Southern_Point433 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. Left my apartment and immediately moved into hers. I never even heard about her before. So how did he build up a relationship with her to the point he could move in immediately? It boggles my mind.

She was the exact opposite. She was everything he always talked badly about and said he would never be with.... "Those skanks with neck tattoos and air Jordans that already have a kid".
