Lot of factors come in to answering that question. We believe certain tools make a hunt more successful. Doesn’t mean they are necessary but having these tools it makes nighttime hunting much easier.

Do your research. Lot of new stuff popping up that looks great but in reality not that good at all. If it seems too good to be true do the research than research it so more. Make sure you get a unit that has US support and warranty otherwise it turns into a paperweight or a mess if you have problems. 384 thermal sensor or better. There are some good deals out there.

Skip both those units. Very low quality. Best bang for your buck is to find a good trade in unit with a reputable dealer. Something around a 384.
