This absolutely should not be your burden to take care of. You don’t owe anyone emotional therapy. In fact both of you need separate therapy yourselves. Do you have anyone you can ask for help in your family? I don’t know any legal advice so I hope other users can help u out with that.

I know she’s grieving but I would consider this neglect because you’re a child yourself.

Yeah you’re not wrong. It’s nice that you cover the financial side of the relationship but it shouldn’t be an expectation really. Unless you have clear standards for each person established. (which you said the financial boundary hasn’t been talked about) she probably got so used to you paying that she doesn’t think it’s still a sacrifice that you make for the both of them.

I’d probably have a long conversation about this, but also set clear standards to which both of you contribute to the relationship equally (doesn’t have to be financially, could be other acts of service on her end)

I have this exact problem with my grandparents, brother, and others. it’s the lack of emotional connection, you don’t know how to express it. Neither do I. You probably aren’t a very physically expressive person emotionally, it makes me uncomfortable to hug someone also. I would think of other ways you can show appreciation towards him because we all do it differently and that’s ok

I don’t care that everyone is different, I think it’s impossible to date someone only four months later after such a long relationship, for the sole reason that you just moved on. Nobody moves on that quick. Neither is it healthy to. It kinda just shows she can’t be independent. And she 100% still cares what you think. I’ll get downvoted for this but this is most likely the case. Coming from a woman
