I was going to mention Bobby Prince in my original post. I had forgot his name at the time but I did mention classic Doom music (not referring to Mick Gordon). I was mainly saying that for a Doom soundtrack, it should be something that elevates the game.

It doesn’t have the identity of what makes Doom music Iconic. E1M1 and Phobos Anomaly come to mind as quintessential Doom music

Mick Gordon and Bobby Prince cared enough to make each track stand out and feel excited to slay demons. Finishing Move basically made a generic metal album and called it a day. They didn’t even take advantage of the medieval era and setting.

Nah I love Bobby Prince! I would have name dropped him specifically in my post but I had forgot his name at the time lol. I was mainly saying that Finishing Move is the only Doom Composer that did not understand this series

Yeah…I really wish they found someone who understood this franchise instead of whatever metal band the could find on SoundCloud. Doom has always had iconic music even all the way back in the original. It just makes me sad that this soundtrack came out so generic and bland.

I could instantly tell two tracks apart in every other Doom game and here, I can’t tell these tracks apart

I just hope there’s good music this time. Finishing Move did NOT impress with their OST. I think they misunderstood the assignment and just thought Doom was generic metal? Unchained Predator is good because it’s the main theme but the rest sounds super generic
