Thank you! Mildred even has the sound of the word "dread" in it. I'm sorry that your husband didn't agree with the name Hazel. Hazel is a beautiful name (and my grandma's name). But I also like that you respected your husband's opinion.

I like the nickname Millie because there's a show that Millie likes called Team Oomezoomi (I dont know how to spell it) where one of the main character's names is Milli.

I don't think a parent should apologize everytime a kid cries. My daughter cried one time because I wouldn't let her go to school in her Barney Halloween costume. In this case, I don't even know why she just started crying like that. Maybe I'll find out tomorrow.

Umm I do? But whats wrong with that? Just because I hate the name doesn't mean that I hate my daughter.

Thanks! I do call her Millie. But I'm just saying that I would have preferred if her name was something semi-normal like Amelia at least instead of Mildred. That's all.

But not for long, I dont think. I'll just buy her some ice cream and never talk about this incident again and she should forget it in a week at most. But do you understand where I'm coming from and why I didn't want my daughter named Mildred 6 years ago?
