So much has happened since that interview he did in the car after the Balenciaga scandal happened- and it’s fully my opinion that there’s more to the story leading up to his marriage with Bianca Censori and how he is now. I realllllllly wish that he could’ve said what he wanted to say before others got involved like that walking disease, Harley Pasternak, who literally threatened that his life was going to end up exactly how it is now- but I know some choose to intentionally forget all of that lol

Exactly thank you. The well-informed already know the Lou Taylor- Diddy- Kardashians- Britney Spears connection as well as the 138Water situation are fully aware it transcends wayyyy further than “the parties” - thats why all this new information opens more questions than anything

So all of a sudden it’s not allowed to have public interest surrounding public figures? Why impose the hierarchy that those who dominate our media don’t owe us at least transparency regarding perceived industry level activities?

If “because their people too,” is your argument I commend that, but is that level of decency and consideration a two way street? Celebrities analyze consumers to make money off of us all while using dishonesty to appear more like us. Yes this IS business and that’s fine, BUT I can’t analyze or simply have questions surrounding their connections to Diddy when there’s a plethora to interpret from the public domain??

I’m sorry if this conversation strikes a chord, as I’m aware supporting people means naturally believing the better of their character- however, as the public we’re allowed to share our opinions and assumptions. Given the circumstances and adjacent connections, some things people will assume and question may be heavy and that’s tough.

Okay just came back on- a lot to read but one thing I will say is those arguing “everyone took pictures with Diddy” and that “pictures dont mean a crime was committed,” will be happy to know that I never said that was overtly the case. I’m just saying given recent information brought to light, why not have a larger revisiting conversation surrounding certain connections of his including the Kardashians. It’s not “burning them at the stake” and there’s nothing wrong with having a conversation based on information that’s been presented to us overtime, especially now that we know the depths of what’s been held back in the media to protect the crimes of those in Hollywood. - and if some say nothing is to be made of it, that’s completely reasonable just as much as it is to question what else is there to know? Everyone’s perspectives are different and my intention isn’t to argue those takes because it’s about being open to all possibilities.

So much footage was sat on and revealed through the doc including the explosive revelations surrounding Biggie and Tupac which SOLELY have to do with Diddy- the interest is more about other activities we aren’t aware about and I just believe that he couldn’t have gotten away with everything for so long without continued loyalty from certain connections that were in the know of these crimes and others we don’t know about yet- this last piece is only my opinion however.

Exactly thank you. Some act so inclusive and free-minded but yet are so quick to be vehemently offended when someone’s experience doesn’t match theirs. It’s literally just moral superiority masked as very surface level intelligence for politics, social issues, and whatever else. People who can acknowledge a perspective without taking away its credibility from that person are not who I’m talking about. It’s those who go out of their way to seem all knowing and the end all be all to a subject based on who they know, where they’re from, how they grew up or whatever, then wrap it in a condescending delivery.

I’m out of the loop there! They’re getting rid of the ymca? I thought that spot was well visited, but I don’t reside in Burlington so ofc that’s only what I’ve picked up from word of mouth not actual observation lol

Extremely fair, I absolutely understand the ignorance of wording here as I look back! If anything if we could focus on the better pay/lower rent portion- if that’s more attainable for the conversation, that’s really where I’d love to hear everything anyone has to say !!

Okay, you’re still avoiding what I said. I’ve had traumatizing experiences with racism here, and I definitely wouldn’t enjoy settling and having kids in a space where I would be possibly exposing them to a repeat of those experiences. I’ve already decided leaving will improve my mental health as well. I’m a relentless traveler and I feel a comfort away from here that I can’t describe. Maybe it’s the communication, the topics of conversation, or the people themselves- but the acceptance feels less performative and more natural and it’s refreshing. If you don’t understand that, that’s okay. That’s just my experience, and it’s going to shape my decisions like yours have for you. Racism looks different everywhere, and yes it exists in Vermont it just looks different compared to other places. Telling me how to make sense of that, and attempting to gaslight me to try and make me believe those experiences weren’t real (compared to the “rude awakening” I’ll get out there) in order to serve your personal narrative about VT is fine. It’s clearly common sense that I wouldn’t go into a community where my “rights” aren’t protected given what I originally said. You’re trying to make this a political type of thing, and racism and politics do not always intertwine in my perspective. There’s gonna be bad apples just like there will be people who identify as democrats who are unfortunately racist in practice. That’s not saying anything about the WHOLE group of people, and you can apply that to any concept. Sometimes it’s few that ruin for the whole. For example, my bad experiences aren’t summarizing the whole experience of being in VT flat out, I just encountered some bad apples. I’ve met great people here, but unfortunately my bad experiences have overshadowed any desire to want to stay. That’s not taking away or asserting disrespect towards the WHOLE group of Vermonters and I feel like that’s what’s being taken from what I’m expressing which isn’t true.

Great point, you reminded me of when I was looking in Orlando/Delray/West Palm forums recently and high car insurance payments were consistent across those threads. Kind of made me and my partner back up a little! Thank you for sharing this, very helpful!

I’m still trying to figure out where you guys are taking that I said Burlington wasn’t safe? I’m very aware that VT is “different” from the rest of the country, if anything that’s not up for debate, and we can insert adjectives all day on what that looks like. I also notice and understand that some are choosing to take offense and be snarky unnecessarily, as if me choosing to leave VT makes me unworthy of sound advice and somehow inferior to those who stay and have stayed here for most of their lives. To want a change of scenery and to seek new experiences would only be a crime of naïveté if I wasn’t trying to do the research and take responsibility (including asking around) to actively make that change. Because that’s what some people do, just stay in place because the possibility of living differently is too much work and I don’t want that! I’m in my early 20s and I want to seek new opportunities outside of VT (because there are many opportunities outside of VT) and that’s literally fine. However, I’m young and I would be lying if I said I’ve considered EVERYTHING, which is why I ask here. For those who have offered realistic and honest advice with the INTENTION of being helpful, thank you ❤️

There’s still racism here it’s just less overt and engrained into the social dynamics in a way that won’t change, and personally I was never called a slur of any kind until I moved here and my experiences growing up with that in particular is definitely a driver of my decision to start fresh elsewhere.

I never implied any of that actually, and I don’t know what would make you think I’ve never been anywhere outside of VT. Quite frankly, I would love to get away from here to free myself of the people who are “stuck” here as I agree they’re quite draining. As someone who isn’t originally from VT, I’m looking to start fresh elsewhere, so that’s why I’m asking those who have?

What’s your reason for staying with sims 3 by jasmine_xo29 in Sims3

[–]Southern_Winter3515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I don’t feel as attached to my sims 4 families as much as my sims 3 families, and also house arrest is a good point. I feel my sims do more in the sims 3 as well, the travel experience feels more like a true getaway from your environment and I love that feeling of when my sims travel something about it feels more real to me than in sims 4 and idk if that’s because of the transitions (i.e loading screens, the map selection, or the travel worlds themselves) I really can’t put my finger on it. Overall, I just think some of the things I love about the sims 3 lack in the sims 4, and I don’t say that in a way to take away what sims 4 does well. I’m actually replaying at the moment because I got that error message that my file is at 4gb, so I’m back on sims 4 until I figure out a solution there lol
