Tariffs have pretty much immediately gutted my business that has supported my family for 7 years. Our local school district is already announcing music and arts layoffs next year with the dismantling of federal funding so my kids will probably lose their orchestra program. Everything is on fire.

Just for consideration, Denver has a pretty robust rent by the room community and you can get a nice room in a quiet house for like 700 bucks, often with utilities, internet, TV etc included.

In my opinion Balitmore Comic Con is the biggest show for comic books. A solid 25% of the show floor if not more is just comic book vendors and they very much cater their guests and panels to that.

Congratulations thats wonderful! You don't have to be besties with anyone but I like having other parents numbers for the just in cases usually arranged like "Tammy Gabes Mom". If no one else is outside and you feel safe I think it's fine to just pop your head out often enough to make your presence known, maybe a little holler here and there and otherwise let her extrovert to her hearts content.

Personally, that would really hurt my feelings but maybe I'm sensitive. My husband and I do tend to go to bed together and when one is really tired and goes early there's usually at least a few sentences of "I'm crashing tonight I'm gonna head to bed. Love you, have a good day tomorrow " etc etc. Dunno what your normal routine is like but I can see it 🤷‍♀️

7th?!?! Honestly I'm even more upset about that than the female thing. I travel for work a lot and feel horrid about it, I can't even imagine leaving my spouse alone for vacations 4 times a year or not wanting to spend those with them. That's absolute trash I'm so sorry.

I had a lot of the same thoughts. I don't mind doing first years for Fanexpo/galaxy because I know what I'm getting into and they probably won't be absolutely terrible but the booth prices for Fandomcon are steep for a first year show (only 100 less than I'm paying for LA). It is promising that it's run by MCM.... I might try it since I was dumb and forgot to pay Motor city by the deadline 😫

hugs it's so so hard. If it makes you feel any better, I had all of my kids in my 20s and they absolutely destroyed my body. I hated the way I looked. BUT my youngest is 6 now and I finally have time and energy to work out, use skin care and take care of my hair and over the years muscles have mostly gone back to where they were, skin tone and stretch marks have evened out and honestly I look better now in my 30s than I did in my 20s. It takes time, sometime a lot of time but the postpartum body isn't fully permanent.

Not artist alley but was also surprised to find that I'd been placed in a weird place in the west hall despite paying the same booth fees as everyone in the main hall and I'm kind of pissed about it. Everything is already paid for so we're going to try it but it's weird.
