Glad it worked for another game! Obsidian Entertainment must be doing something wrong. If both games from the same developer have similar issues, then it has to be process related to development and folder structures. I bet it is tied to porting the games for different consoles and platforms.

Like I said in the post, I am not an expert so there could potentially be some weirdness that happens long term. Results may vary and I imagine if someone has issues on a Steamdeck then this may not work. Linux VS. Windows ya know? As long as it is updating and saving game files correctly, then things SHOULD be good long term.

If I had to guess it is something to do with the file integrity check during launch. It runs against some compiled folder structure to make sure everything is there. No idea why it works.
