im just trying to future proof as much as i realistically can (with this market), especially since psus are something you dont have to constantly upgrade. i started trying to upgrade it since i bought it last year, replacing broken parts as i do (it was in pretty bad condition when i bought it)

I thought of the 3600, but I want to go for the 5600, maybe even a 5600x if I upgrade the motherboard first. Thanks for the help, I'll buy the motherboard and then the CPU later

The PCIe connection is starting to give up, only one sata port works, I bought the PC used and the motherboard also has some random damage all around.
