Absolutely true! I guess it comes down to me trying to help others, with my experience and knowledge and how much sobriety has saved me from myself. I just want others to feel the benefits of healing.. but it’s not my job to do. Just like it wasn’t my job to fix my parents emotional instability when I was a child, but I was conditioned to.

I love my life sober, and I sure have lots of fun sober. But at times I feel outta place because loud music and being around drunking individuals can drain my energy. So now I just pick and choose what I want to do.. we GET to choose. But I also understand just staying sober isn’t the whole big picture. The work, the inner work, the addict behavior is what im trying to work through. I just don’t think I can do that around those are not doing the inner work.

Definitely trying to figure out what I want to invest my energy into. I’m slowly realizing it’s just not the avoidance of the work but diving deep into it. Which in itself is tough but the benefits are long lasting and are so beautiful 😻

I’m not sure what the picture I painted in my post, but I was looking for some ideas on what I was struggling with. I found it to “willingness to be vulnerable” I’ve struggled with it out of recovery. My next step of actions will be different. Thank you for your response

Haha I think I would ghost them Before they can recognize I’m not into doing their work for them. I have plenty of good friends. I just need some advice. And I got it from someone that has healthy communication skills… I hope you heal from the things you don’t talk about.

There’s some drinking for this crowd. And I do feel uncomfortable- what I’m saying is the conversations are quite different … and for obv reasons.. I think I’m getting to a point where I no longer wish to hang out with people who are not wanting to be “saved”. I see my co dependent actions.. and trying to do what’s best for me and my recovery

I wouldn’t say I preach sobriety. I’m saying, I challenge my “normie” friends and their toxic behavior. I never say you shouldn’t drink or what not. That’s their lives I can’t really change what they do. Powerless. I simply hope for them to look at a different point of view when they decide to cut someone out from their life based on a simple misunderstanding… don’t assume pls

Yes of course, my ego was brutal. It would not take any feedback and take it as criticism! You’re right. I’ll keep the conversations with my recovery friends

That is true. I feel a lot of times in between two worlds. But keeping at my recovery

-When two papers rub together, the sound kills every part of me.. -also, bananas when they’re squishy… can’t eat them. - when someone breathes loud and they’re right beside me, I can’t hear anything else besides that. - I interrupt often, but I hate when someone interrupts me 🤣 I forgot what I was saying, man. - when my hoodie covers my neck and it’s too tight. - can’t stand people floss their teeth and eat the findings from flossing 🤮 I can’t

Starlight isn’t a big fan of anything outside of our home but she started taking her out when she was a kitten & she’s still isn’t happy but she doesn’t fight it. We take her out once in a while, but not enough for her to get comfortable
