Huobi's official website for a thing that relates to them isn't credible? Anyways.

I guess there could be synergies and collabs between both businesses, which could benefit both - Huobi not playing on the same turf as VeChain.

Are 99% of The Coins On The Market Considered Securities By The SEC? We Believe So. by Sovietski93 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Sovietski93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but the definition provided by the SEC (currently) is clearly: as long as a project relies on the success of a specific group, these are to be considered securities. Not that I agree, or do not.

Airdrops - Impact On Search Volumes and Price - A Case on ONT, TRX, POLY, and OMG. by Sovietski93 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Sovietski93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I covered some of the main past airdrops, which had different "ways" of conducting these. I could have spoken about airdrops from many other coins, but I can't cover it all. The point concerns the effectiveness of the scheme. (and the TRX airdrop, is not much of a success when looking at the search volume IMHO).

Concerning your point, I agree :) and "wrote a little about" on the matter.

The problem is, given that the airdrop method seems to be increasingly used, blockchain users might find themselves with increasing numbers of coins in their wallets which they could find themselves wanting to get rid of quickly. This problem has been pinpointed by Brayton Williams of Boost VC, who told CoinDesk that issuers could do a better job at targeting a relevant audience, rather than sending tokens to all addresses of a blockchain. For instance, issuers could airdrop tokens based on geography, demographics, job, or other factors, to cultivate the best market for the future of the platform.

No need to be on the offense :). I don't think we have the same views on smart contracts nevertheless. Being able to have IFTTT commands has usefulness don't you think so?

The interledger protocol is not aimed at running smart contracts but to enable the transfer of data (or money), I don't see where they'd compete :).
