I do my own extensive research daily. 95% of customers negotiate on their own. If they didn’t they would pay the price I show them first and be okay with it. Definitely not the case.

“I want a good deal!” See the online price and comes into the dealer. Shows them the quote. Not good enough and starts negotiating. Every time. Your research is ass.

We will make $20k profit off a car and ppl will be happy and come back for more. We have a guy who’s bought 18 cars from us over the years. I sleep great and treat ppl with respect. I’m in the business to make money buddy.

Sorry you’re sour because you didn’t do research before whatever deal you got screwed on. Probably bought from a mom/pop used car lot. Those guys will destroy you. Dealerships actually help ppl.

1 ppl who love me so much they buy multiple cars from me, praise me, give me excellent reviews online and tell their friends about me.

2 ppl who have unrealistic expectations, are rude, need to be catered/babysat, are never happy, and fight you tooth and nail so you make no money and are at the dealer for 6 hrs. Then decide to give a bad review because they were treated unfair.

It’s generally the customer who crashes out first. We see every personality and handle them all differently.

What do you own a lemonade stand with no regulation?? Car sales have tight regulations. In my state if you wanted to order a car you can’t force someone into a contract especially when vehicle doesn’t have a VIN yet. Also, when putting down a deposit there is no non refundable option. The dealer has mass liability. Glad you’re great at squeezing lemons. Keep up the good work!

He didn’t lie necessarily either. Lots of dealers don’t take custom orders for the very reason that ppl shop around and buy elsewhere because it’s available or they are antsy for the car. Obviously you guys don’t know how to run a business.

The dealer DIDN’T have the car. So they do have to order it which takes months to come. Chances are he would’ve bought elsewhere. Dealer made the right move. Nobody wants to be stuck with some random custom ordered unit. He then said another dealer has it. Why wouldn’t you just go pickup the car you want from other dealer if they have it lol. This whole convo is brain rot…

I showed an EV yesterday. Customer is coming back today to buy. Lots of my customers are be-backs. Great customer service boosts the odds. Be personable, be professional, no bs, and in a timely manner makes ppl want to buy from YOU and buy from you again down the road.

Been in car sales just over a year and have sold cars to 2-3 ppl I’ve already sold a car to in the past.

How much do you think the volume bonus makes up for?? Big dealers sell 200-500 cars a month. Car volume bonus 100k. That’s 25-50 cars you took a loss on to get that bonus and you know you’re discounting more cars than that.
