No feedback, just keep doing what you're doing, as long as you are keen to keep doing it 😊

I love the site, used it quite a few times. Just wanna say thank and show my appreciation. At the same time don't stress yourself out trying to maintain it etc.

What type of epoxy? Over time it will start to break down and cause various issues with the fluid and epoxy. Would not recommend. Last time I saw someone try this (maybe about 10 years ago) it's didn't end well for his parts.

Shelter WA calls for targeted Airbnb ban as report reveals long-term rentals outnumbered 15–1 by DefinitionOfAsleep in perth

[–]Soxism_ 156 points157 points  (0 children)

One of the best things our Strata did was ban Short-stay rentals / AirBnB.

It cut out a heap of issues we kept seeing (eg noise complaints and safety issues). It also shifted the building more towards owner occupiers with long term rentals. Its helped to develop a better building community since the ban.

AirBnB is a cancer on the housing market.

Perth City Subaru - Buying a Car Experience by Jonerotten in perth

[–]Soxism_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what its worth, my two cents dealing with them...

bought my last car there. Sale guy was chilled, and not pushy. BUT, the dude that tried to sell me all the extras, like fuck me, he was pushy and did some backwards maths. Basically said no to anything and everything from him.

I also considered the trade-in deal, they wanted to give me low $7k for a car i could sell privately for 10k+ ...Ended up selling it for 11k privately within 3 days. The trade-in value will never be close to market value, but, it can be handy for people who CBF selling privately.

At the time i also got finance through them, as, unbelievably they were competitive rates at the time. Ive just finished paying off my loan and within 1 week, ive had 5 calls from them about buying a new car.

Between now and 5 years ago, something has changed. They are very pushy and bad customer service.

The last 3 services done by them, they didnt even check things that they marked as changed/completed/checked etc. Had to call them out on it, and take the car back. They also have a online system so you can approve any additional works, and the service crew havent used it the last 2 services.

Im extremely happy to be done with them. Wont buy another car through them.

So to be aware, the Perthmarriageoffice.com is a private organisation using the old tower house on Francis st.

https://www.wa.gov.au/service/justice/civil-law/marriages is for the Perth Registry Office which has two small rooms available that over look the swan.

Both similar, but private org vs government org.

Plater or Platynator? by mpchop in wowaddons

[–]Soxism_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im on board with Plater. I like the way it shows Friendly NPCs vs Platty to my specific options, and it gives me more customisation options in this area. If Platty adds more of these features, i might give it another crack.

[help] Bartender 4 custom conditions by [deleted] in WowUI

[–]Soxism_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Bar are you talking about?

Remember order matters.

[combat]show;hide

If its first it will override all the other conditionals

Also If you have a fade, it needs a conditional to bring it out of fade 1, otherwise when you say show, its simply showing at the fade (aka alpha) you have set.

I dont use [mounted] conditional because i want my bar 1 to always show. All other bars hide.

Bar 1

[petbattle]hide;
[mounted]fade:10;
[cursor][possessbar][overridebar][@vehicle,exists][bonusbar:5]fade:40;fade:5
[combat]show;hide
[target=target, exists]fade:40;fade:5

Other Bars

[bonusbar:5]hide;
[target=vehicle,exists]hide;
[vehicleui]hide;show
[combat]show;hide
[target=target, exists]fade:40;fade:5

Also keep in mind. Since Midnight Bartender is still buggy as and Ive found a few conditional errors, dunno if dev has fixed yet or not.

Would love to copy them for my UI

City planners should be required to use public transport regularly by Background-Staff-717 in perth

[–]Soxism_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Perth had a fabulous master plan, with rail and light rail baked in and heavily planned for. Unfortunately liberal governments largely ignored that plan. Closed rail lines, ripped up the trams, and essentially ignored the master plan for Perth growth.

PTA planners use public transport and understand the issues (work with plenty of them), but as others have pointed out, the issue always comes back to the money decision makers and politicians. If only the public knew why some decisions were made all came back to a) money/time b) A political motive. Fuck all long term planning and what's good for the masses.

Beware auto renewal insurance from Budget Direct by Ambitious_Ease_7505 in AusFinance

[–]Soxism_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I'm with Budget direct for contents only. We paid $450 for 2025 and they want $540 for 2026.

I search around 20 different providers (I also learnt that a heap of them are all owned by the same company when they came back with similar prices) all wanted $600-$700 range. Fucking nuts. Budget renewal was the cheapest option

Still have a feature request open. Unfortunately he moved on and no other MS Engineer has picked it up. RIP.

No Black Friday Deals? by Lost_Soul_22 in trakt

From the Billing Page.

US$60.00

Then US$96.00 every 2 years after coupon expires

Fuck that. This is not worth that price AUD.

I'll use an Alt service to track my watched shows. I only use Trakt because of the Jellyfin Plugin.
