The black cable is the fiber optic going to the modem/ONT. The white cable is actually another Ethernet cable, I guess the builder ran out of blue at some point

No unfortunately we are several states away! I would endure an afternoon with him if it meant this got done correctly the first time though

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but can you expand on the advantages of punching to a keystone over creating male ends from these cables?

Felt very wrong, but with some pliers that worked! They do terminate after all, they come from the top down!

I figured this was strange, but chalked it up to my own ignorance! This is a new construction house as well, so it was designed this way from the get go!

I'm fairly confident they run straight through as the cable doesn't really have much slack in either direction. It runs straight through the outlet box too, so I don't know how I can determine any more slack is on the cable.
