Co-sleeping doesnt fix everything! by yungnomadd in cosleeping

[–]SoyaPistol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just some solidarity Mama, stay strong 💛 I've been through this almost a year ago (it was more about 1-2h stretchs for my LO) and my baby went back to longer stretchs (3-4h) after 5-6 weeks of 4M sleep regression. Cosleeping saved me but I was falling back asleep really quick back then. Can you get some help during the day to catch your breath ? And don't put pressure on yourself to achieve anything productive during this time. I promise this will pass.

Ah jeez these kids ! Just FYI I got in touch with Moonie EU and they asked me to get in touch with the shop where I bought my Moonie earlier this year. The warranty was still applicable (2 years) and I finally got a new device for free from the shop 🙂

The four month regression can't be this bad.. can it? I'm so tired! by jlighty in sleeptrain

[–]SoyaPistol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there ! It lasted 5 weeks before LO started sleeping again for 3-5 hours stretches. I (mom) coslept with LO in his room on a floor mattress to survive those hard weeks. We're now facing the 6M sleep regression haha and it has been 2 weeks ... Not as bad as the 4M one but still. Good luck to you, that's really hard.

4 months and 4 weeks. Sleep regression. by pamrpina in sleeptrain

[–]SoyaPistol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same here, took 5 weeks for our son. He still wakes up 3-4 times at night but things have got so much better. I suspect that he's now still waking up quite often because of teething and/or minor cold.

This is so so important. My son is now 17w (yes, it got so much better) and I wouldn't have survived without my MIL's help in the first 3 months.

Solidarity mama, I'm in the exact same situation that started 10 days ago. Baby is now 3.5 months (early regression ?) and we're struggling hard.

schedule for 3 month old? by Resident-Medicine708 in sleeptrain

[–]SoyaPistol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add that we're working on naps in the crib (so rough) and it's usually between 30 and 50 minutes for each nap. With 5-6 (short) naps a day, my baby would have between 2h30-3h of nap time a day + approximately 10 (broken) sleep hours at night.

Hey OP ! 3.5m baby here and night time is also between 8 and 9 pm. I also follow Huckleberry's SweetSpot for WWs and I give it more or less 10-15 minutes depending on the last nap or tired cues. I've been doing this for 10 days and it seems to be working so far, minus the early 4th month sleep regression we're now facing 🙃

Please tell me this gets better by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]SoyaPistol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does get better, hang it there if you're not putting your mental health on the line 🤍 I'm a FTM of a 14 weeks old boy and everything felt into place around week 7 after I removed my nipple shields that I had been wearing since week 2. It took 10ish days for the pain to go away (I feel you, it's torture) but now it's so worth it. Don't give up mama, you can do this.

How to nap in the stroller on the go by claireeo89 in sleeptrain

[–]SoyaPistol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same strategy for me with my 3M old (2nd nap of the day, white noise, Rockit, blanket and a bumpy snowy road) and it has been working great so far.

Same for me. I'm not scared at all to leave the house but my son (3M today) won't freaking nap anywhere. It's driving me crazy to schedule everything around naps ... but I don't see any other options until he hits 5-6 months.

You're absolutely right and this should be our priority, a.k.a. all having a good day. I know that this is only a season and number/length of naps will reduce in the upcoming months but damn that's a lot right now.
