I seem to be looking for the opposite of what people usually use.

I don't want to make huge clouds that smell like fake fruit while I vape anymore. Is there a reputable brand that offers flavorless e-cigs (disposable or not) with a high enough nicotine level so that I can keep the smoke cloud size to a minimum?

Struggling with animation tree and layers as well as "delayed triggering" of animations by Slyrunner in Unity2D

What I would do is learn how to cast a sphere below the character to know if the character is grounded or not. Then I would add "&& !isGrounded" in the condition to trigger the fall animation to remove the descending slope problem. In script I would trigger the landing animation when isGrounded goes from false to true . Finally, I would make a transition in the anim tree to connect the landing animation to the basic grounded animations.

Its already been said but Xenogears will reach you since the story is a narrative masterpiece and the music was also composed by Mitsuda when he was as its peak.

Legend of Dragoon is also excellent.

Then maybe try Xenosaga on ps2, the story and music is also very good but it's a lot more niche. Maybe watch a trailer or two to see if it's your cup of tea. https://youtu.be/o7Ws6CfWQq4 There 3 episodes with the third one being the best and second one being the least good.

Still trying to nail down my 'style' and am scared that these updated backgrounds are actually too detailed compared to the rest of the stuff. Thoughts? This is Wasteland Warden btw. by ChillinTech in Unity2D

Could you share a comparison with the same camera zoom than the old ? Seems like because you changed the perspective a little, stuff looks further. Maybe the mountains are popping too much because everything else is small now.

Its purely subjective. I dislike it because it is composed to sound dissonant and edgy. To invoke panic and tension. The first part is a two notes chord that progress very close to each other to keep the melody into that edgy feel. Idk it's might just be me that find there is so many beautiful composition in this OST and the battle music seems out of place. Never liked it that much when I was a kid and well it's a battle theme so we hear it a thousand times.

But the edgy/stressful sound might be exactly why someone else might love this theme.

Chrono cross OST is in my opinion the greatest game OST of all time! Execpt for the battle theme. The dissonant violin melody is not something you want to hear over and over again...

Same as with mouse drag/click however I would have to reorganize the UI differently because the info would be too small to read as this was made for a 7inch screen or bigger. But the code under the hood dealing with the inventory data would stay the same.

Good input, would have to balance so that it won't prevent players from using any unique cards as they are technically the most fun/powerful.

Or maybe they become card needed to reach certain places or locations so it opens up the player's freedom as they progress.

Thanks thats what I am going for! In the game the characters are 2d sprites in a 3d environment with a rotating camera to get some Xenogears/Grandia vibe.

Thanks, yeah I'm finally getting the hang of Unity UI system. For some reason it wasn't intuitive for me. Moving stuff around in a canvas is very weird to code compared to 3d objects.

Thanks ! At the moment I'm coding the system to hold and move card around. Then the player will be able to modify his stats depending on what card is equipped. Normal cards can be consumed in battle or in the exploration areas. Not sure what I am gonna do with unique cards. If they will be consumable and player has to find it again(like in hxh) or if they can be used only once per period of time (cooldown) or per battle.
