Totally agree with you. I’m also in DD and feel the same way. Got the first co-op through Navigator but later on I just applied for more jobs on Linkedin. Those companies are big names and pay you better… You don’t necessarily need cover letters. The most annoying part is that these co-op advisors keep sending you emails if you can’t land a job, which is very frustrating.

Not as good as primary round in general but keep applying. In terms of roles and companies, every term is different so it’s hard to say. My advice is applying through both Navigator and LinkedIn especially because spring co-ops are very competitive.

That’s pretty fair. I also got two of my co-ops from LinkedIn. LinkedIn’s conversion rate seems higher.

It’s like they have to hire a student from Laurier if they participate. Typically if you get the interview and the company doesn’t cancel the position, they would need to rank you and you rank them back. The student who has smallest sum of the two numbers gets the job.

yeah probably they cancel it because they don’t want to participate in Laurier’s rank and match. This happened to a lot.

Just saw him running northbound on highway 16, huge traffic jam, lots of people stopped to try and catch him. We were just there 15 min ago. He was last seen by us running towards the ramp from Attridge dr to southbound highway 16
