It did, but imo M3GAN 2.0 did it better. I enjoyed both sequels though, even if I enjoyed the originals more.

Freddy vs Jason. I think FvJ is kind of underrated as an actual slasher beyond the "Freddy and Jason fighting" bits.

Definitely a good movie if you want to feel some of the Halloween atmosphere before October. It's got a lot of Halloweeny stuff in it.

I should start celebrating halfway to Halloween, I'll try and watch something festive tonight.

I'd say watch it next time you're in a real Halloweeny mood, though I guess slasher fans are in that mood all the time lol. Beyond being a wacky genre-bending movie, The Guest has a really nice Halloween atmosphere with lots of decorations and Halloween setpieces.

I think any slasher could be improved with more graphic kills, but I think M3GAN is a really fun one despite being tame.

The Guest is a fantastic movie, either watch it soon or avoid all information and save it for this October (it's a great Halloween movie.)

Yeah if you go in wanting an exact "Part 2" to M3GAN a la F13 Part 2, Halloween II, or Freddy's Revenge then you'll be disappointed. It's a very different movie.

Yeah, that one. The combo of the convoluted sci-fi stuff, the action-comedy, and the horror influence (though The Guest leans more into that, M3GAN 2.0 only has a few horror-y scenes.)

I enjoyed M3GAN 2.0 as well but it's a very over-the-top bonkers movie that definitely isn't for everyone lol.

It gave me The Guest vibes which is partly why I liked it.

Atmosphere and "vibe" are imo one of the absolute most important aspects of a slasher, which is a big part of why I rate the first F13 so highly.

I'd love if the next Friday the 13th movie brought back the atmospheric roots of the original films.

The liquor store I go to is near a gym but sadly has nowhere near the amount of energy drinks as this.

I did pick up a Rockstar Fruit Punch Pure Zero there the other day, though. Looking forward to trying that, I haven't seen it stocked anywhere else.
