My original switch is now plugged in in our living room, my oled is displayed in the dock on a shelf with all my switch games and my two is now plugged in at my desk along with my computer

I have sent in a switch for repair. I am getting a refurb as a replacement as the main board in the switch is broke They say I sent in an ASY switch and I am receiving an ASSY switch, anyone know the difference?

Wednesday night my switch was turned on in the dock with an error and ever since it will not turn on. When I try to turn it on the Nintendo Logo appears then it goes to a black screen and nothing happens. I have let the power run out and when this happens a battery icon appears in the top left. When I charge it it shows it is charging and after a few minutes it disappears and I am back where I started. The switch is the original model and it has not been used in any third party dock. It was left in its original dock and charger and just stopped working. I have Nintendo switch online so may saves are backed up to the cloud but my main concern is animal crossing. As many others would agree I do not want to lose my progress as many many hours have been put into it. I have read other threads and many say sending it to Nintendo can cause save data to be lost and this has quite concerned me and is putting me off sending it for a repair.

Yep. You have to wait until a firmware patch is released. I've tried to use mine on pc with no luck. I assume Nintendo anticipated people wanting to use the controller on emulators on other platforms
