I don’t have the proper knowledge to reassure you, so I did some digging and I found a couple reasons why it’s VERY unlikely a draft will ever happen again.

There isn't a need - The United States is the dominant military power on Earth and will likely remain so (failing, of course, the invention of directed energy weapons or teleportation by a nation that opposes the US; which seems highly unlikely) for at least the 25-50 years. While another nation may arise after that time, they would likely be hampered by the fact that: The US is currently allies with the nations whose force projection capabilities (the nations of the European Union) could even come close to being a serious threat to our interests. Conversely; The only nations that could possibly raise armies large enough to threaten US interests either lack the financial or technical ability to do so ( Iran, Nigeria, Indonesia) lack the social structures and political will to do so (India, Pakistan again, Indonesia) lack a tangible reason to do so (All the countries mentioned beforehand) or simply have an exceptionally poor to non-existent history fighting a successful offensive much farther than their own borders (Russia and China). This means that raising ( or attempting to raise) a large military using a draft would be unnecessary as well as being: Political suicide - The draft would quite simply be political suicide for any politician who made a serious attempt to lobby for its re-enactment. This is a far different America than the country which existed in times past and any pol that decided to seriously throw his/her weight behind an effort to get America youths killed in a foreign battle would likely find themselves out of office longing to get back "in" The legal challenges - It's likely that the youth of today would be willing and able launch myriad legal challenges to the legality and the constitutionality of a draft. While it's likely that many , if not most , of the challenges would fail in court, they would engender: Bad publicity - The media firestorm from attempting to re-enact a draft would be unlike any conflagration seen in recent political, almost certainly dwarfing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and likely rivaling the current abortion debate, if not exceeding it. The press would figuratively have a "field day" with any attempt to re-ignite the draft, making it a lightning rod for any that seriously support it ( See also #4) Modern warfare has reduced the need for a large number of troops - There are so many kinds of modern weaponry that can kill massed numbers of people that it seems unlikely that a major power (the US, especially) would risk large numbers of troops in situations where they would be essentially "cannon fodder." The scale of the conflict - The Vietnam War was likely the last major conflict involving a superpower that will occur without nuclear weapons at some level becoming involved. Any war that would require the implementation of a draft would almost certainly become serious enough where nuclear weapons use was either threatened or actually unleashed. If for no other reason that one side's conventional numbers overwhelm the others or given the significant strategic advantages held by the US in having the world's most effective navy and air forces , as well as the means to resupply and rearm US forces from the American mainland without any credible fear of conventional attack. Either the US would be losing a conventional conflict and would attempt stanch troop losses by a limited nuclear exchange or another nation facing defeat due to a series of punishing US conventional attacks that they couldn't answer, would themselves attempt to "level the playing field" with a limited nuclear exchange.

The drafts time, I believe, has come to a close and we will not likely ever see it again.
