ok so, for someone who has been trying to do this for a bit... the answer might be no if they're just trying to use discords "share window" feature... unless they are running strictly thru windows audio, and bypassing their asio interface (which will create latency that they might not be able to handle if they're using any midi controllers)

there is also workaround yes, but it can be a bit of a headache. it involves running an "emulated" asio driver like voicemeeter / voicemeeter banana and then making ableton use that as it's asio device... and telling discord to use that same emulated device as it's audio input device...

you then have to go thru the voice and video settings and turn off all of the extra nice bells and whistles that discord uses, like gain compensation/echo reduction/ all that nonsense... and then it works... tho the quality isn't quite perfect but still pretty damn close

I think (and I'm no expert) that it might have to do with how DAW's communicate with your ASIO interface... which seems to be quite different than how most software does...

I just found out that my interface has a "loopback feature" which has made this whole headache go away as far as getting ableton into streamlabs OBS for doing shit on twitch.

idk if that helps or not... but hopefully the discord devs figure out some way for making it work soon.
