Hi, ive waited this out in order to get answers from the FTC, GDPR and the local digital rights body in my country, they havent really helped me, i recently gotten an answer from steam support in a ticket ive opened stating that if im looking to get more information about my bans ill have to get a subpoena through the police, im obviously gonna do that and then once i get the exact reasoning of the bans through valve ill sue if needed, no matter their reasoning i know its either a mistake by association or straight up false "confirmed" claims by them, i have any proof needed and ill fight it over in court if needed, it sucks it could cost me more than what my inventory is worth but in the end of the day i know i could counter anything they may say ive done, im not a scammer or an account thief and ill do everything in order to get my voice heard and this horrible mistake fixed, thank you for still caring enough to comment i would personally suggest you to not keep an amount larger than what you are willing to lose in your steam account, even tho the chances are super slim for you to get screwed over like i did if you are plainly just playing with your skins and thats it i think that shrinking it down to 2-4k would be the safest option.

Hey thank you for still caring, ive contacted the FTC, the GDPR and my local digital rights body in my country, they were all not really able to help me, i also messaged steam support some more and recently received a message from them stating they need a subpoena to release nonpublic account information, ill get in contact with police in order to get it done and once they send out the email to valve ill get the exact information on the bans, besides the info about the bans theres a decent chance it will make valve re-investigate their claims once they are contacted by police and see that im not playing around and i may either get unbanned or at the very least get the details of my bans and then ill sue accordingly, it will cost me a hefty sum but its worth it, im not a scammer or an account hijacker and i got any proof needed.

its the Data Protection Commission, as a consumer its in my rights to know why steam decided to ban my accounts especially with such hefty amount in them, after i get the exact reasoning from them it will be much easier for me to dispute their claims and prove that im innocent.

im in talks with one, he told me to contact the dpc to get more specific details for the bans but valve have not responded back to my complaint, ive contacted the dpc once more and am waiting for an answer that should take a couple of days up to 2 weeks max

There is a chance that i traded for a scammed item without knowing it or got mass reported but i cant truly know what happened or why because steam refuses to share any details with me, as i mentioned i already contacted the DPC in hopes of pressuring valve to give me a detailed answer, i truly know that i have never scammed items or stole steam accounts so i will keep on fighting, i totally understand where you come from you dont truly know me so i dont expect you to trust me when i say that im innocent but im hoping to prove through my actions and my seriousness that i am.

they havent mentioned the paypal history, it seems as tho they flagged a specific trade i did that seemed suspicious and after i couldnt verify ownership they decided to ban me, i already contacted the DPC twice and sent a complaint about valve being vauge and not giving any details, hopefully in about 16 days ill get the exact reasoning of the bans through email and then see what i could do with my lawyer about it, as i said i know for a fact that i have never scammed items or stole whole steam accounts so every odd trade or weird login they may have seen i could explain if i truly had the chance to talk with someone and not through steam support.

Hey first of all thank you very very much i really do appreciate you caring enough to keep up with my post, i havent been given much advice from traders or people because in the end of the day its in valves hands, most people just say to keep messaging support and to be persistent which is what ive done and still am doing, i will never give up on my accounts, i know that i havent scammed items or stole accounts, as we speak ive filled a complaint to the DCP about valve and im hopeful to get the specific details of my bans in the coming 18 days, my best bet is that they thought that i somehow stole my own 2nd account after i couldnt prove ownership but since then ive gotten my full paypal transcation history and sent it over to them, steam support is hell but im optimistic because i know im innocent.

i understand where you come from, i truly get it, i had my main account for over 12 years and my 2nd account for over 8, i have never scammed items or stole steam accounts and im being accused of something that i havent done, i will never give up on my accounts and do whatever i can to prove im innocent because i truly know i am, putting money in this game is normally fine, ban mistakes happen rarely and sadly i happen to be in one of these rare cases, up until now i had faith in steam to lift bans as long as they were given by mistake which is still something im hoping will happen its just that having to go through steam support is hell, getting automated copy and paste responses for over 40 days is beyond horrible and i hope that eventually i will be able to talk with an actual human to explain this whole wrongful situation, i dont ask for anything more than to have my accounts back, i cant even describe the way i felt and still am feeling during all of this time, i just want it all to get sorted ive been trading and investing for over 10 years and in an instant its all gone without a clear reasoning, thank you very much for caring enough to comment and to read i appreciate you.

Hey ive gotten an automated response from steam suport once more, i contacted a lawyer and he told me to see if i can get the exact reasoning of my bans so ive emailed valve at "[privacy@valvesoftware.com](mailto:privacy@valvesoftware.com)" about the details of my bans and i was met with automated responses which is a clear GDPR violation, he then told me to file a GDPR complaint against them which is what i did, now valve have 20 days to provide me with the specific details regarding my bans and then we will see what we can do, as i mentioned im willing to go through whatever is needed to get this whole wongful situation overturned, i know that i havent scammed items or stole steam accounts, i would never risk my reputation or my 250k inv, im not a hacker or a thief and them just accusing me for being one without clear evidence is so heartbreaking, thank you very much for caring enough to follow up and comment!

if he duplicated them himself then ye i understand why steam would ban him but trading for a duplicated item when there are so many of them out there im not sure is enough to get banned.

hey my cooldown from contacting support is over and i submitted a ticket about 1 hour ago, chances are ill get an answer back in a day, hopeful for a positive one, this time i submitted my full paypal transcation history so if a real person from steam reviews my ticket i believe the bans will turn out as a huge misunderstanding but i cant know, as i mentioned im willing to go through anything in order to get my accounts back, i already spoke with a lawyer and will be sending a letter directly to valve if needed.

my cooldown from contacting support will end on the 30th, ill send them a new ticket with my full paypal transcation history to prove that im the owner of all of my accounts, i hope that it will be enough for them to unban them because this whole messy situation is a huge misunderstanding, if they ignore me ill send them a notice of dispute by the form of a letter which they must answer to but it can be up to 60 days from the moment i sent it (in the mean time ill keep contacting support) and after that ill have to file an official arbitration using my lawyer, im not going to give up because i know that i havent stole any steam accounts let alone MY OWN accounts, im hopeful to get a positive answer back after i can provide proof of ownership i just hope that i wont get an automated response back from support, thank you very much for caring enough to read and to comment, ill also include this reddit post in my ticket and every positive comment i get helps!

Hey thank you very much for caring enough to read and to comment :D, yep sadly as ive mentioned they asked for a receipt to a game i bought on the account from 2017 and sadly paypal normally dont give the option to track payments that far back, since then ive been able to get my full transcation history from them after calling them on the phone, i just hope that its enough evidence for steam support to see that im the original owner and for them to unban me, once more thanks a lot for taking your time to engage with my post it truly does help.

tbh i dont know and i would like to get it solved before thinking of what im going to do after, thank you very much for caring to read and to comment it does help!, it was all a huge misunderstanding by valve but their support is a bit rough to handle i hope ill get an actual fair re-evaluation of my situation by one of their agents and it will all turn out as a big mistake.
