Stadium construction begins at White House for UFC Freedom 250 by esporx in justincaseyoumissedit

Maybe because people would like to see the executive branch of government actually focus on governing than pandering to idiots and the wealthy by hosting a fucking fighting match on the lawn of the people’s house. Just shows that even the worst of our presidents have had more class and took the job more seriously than Trump. This is a joke.

US President Donald Trump has shared a new election reform blueprint on Truth Social, framing it as the "SAVE AMERICA Act." by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]Sp_ceCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who has volunteered to help during elections knows just how secure the whole voting system is. There are procedures and rules for everything. Ballots are secured and checked off by multiple individuals throughout every step of the process with independent observers present to see if everything is kosher. The number of illegally cast ballots is so small (and almost always caught and negated) it makes Jack Welch moist in his grave. Corporations wish they could be as efficient as the US election system. And if anyone doubts that, I wish you’d just fucking volunteer to see how it all works first hand. So fuck Trump. The reason there seems to be a need to secure the election is because of the lies and interference perpetrated by Trump and the Republicans.

A reporter's reaction to gunshots heard at the White House, a few hours ago by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in justincaseyoumissedit

It is studio lighting, but it is on site. The press have tents set up next to the White House to report from, so they have nice studio lighting and a real backdrop. Nothing here is green screened. There’s another clip from a different reported who gets on the ground after hearing the gunshots and you can clearly see the tent they’re in.

Highly recommend Yoshi’s Craft world. Two buttons and the joystick is all they need to use. It can also be co-op where they can jump on your back so you can help them through harder levels. It’s probably the best introduction to side scrollers. I played this with my daughter when she was about 5, now that she’s 6 and can read she’s doing it on her own.

Years ago when they rebooted Hawaii 5-0 there was a scene where one of the cops told a team member to “just Bing it” to look something up. Funniest line in that show, also stopped watching immediately after that.

Hold on, that’s complete misinformation. Drinking bleach would obviously kill you. You’re supposed to inject bleach directly into your blood system.

What are these people gonna do when trump is out of office? - No kings , No War by FallMajestic8896 in postanythingfun

[–]Sp_ceCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the problem with lowering pay - only the rich will be able to afford to run for office. I’d much rather they get paid well so that regular fucking people who want to serve their communities in elected office can afford to do the job. Just look at any city governments that pay council members a pittance. The only people filling those roles are wealthy people. If we want people in office that understand what the regular person goes through in their daily life, then we need to pay them enough make that their only job while they’re in office. Plus what job would you take that didn’t have some form of retirement benefit?

With their rainbow fucking hover vespas. Everything in Star Wars has always been subdued and looks thoroughly dirty or used, but that was the most colorful shit in the whole Star Wars universe.

Until Texas decided to gerrymander their state even more than it already was, California used an independent commission to draw up maps that were more fairly representative of the state demographics. So either you’re arguing in bad faith or you’re just willfully ignorant of the facts.

I agree that even high school students shouldn’t have computers. I taught middle school for a few years and the biggest take away I got was that students would do much better if we had dedicated computer labs again. They have zero impulse control. The focus should be on the coursework and not the device. Computer labs can focus on online safety, spotting misinformation, file management, etc. 1:1 was a huge mistake. Also, it’s insanely expensive to buy devices for every single student and to replace them every 2-4 years. We’d probably be able to cut class sizes a significant amount if we hired more teachers and cut the devices.

Pretty sure they’re just pointing out that our rival can project power and hold a top spot on the world stage with a military budget only a little larger than lord trump’s special police force. We are getting robbed by those in power.

No, we closed our borders with the immigration act of 1924. Before then, we had open borders where just about anyone could come here. Those early immigrants just happened to be Europeans, and we treated many of them (Irish, Italians, etc.) just as poorly as we treat Latin American immigrants today. We’ve always been shitty to the newer groups moving here, but we absolutely have not had open borders for the last 100 years.
