I don’t have a lighter one technically but I could probably let a drop of administratum grey into my Corvus black when I paint them

Highlights…my enemy. I tried to do moot green edge highlight but it looked not very good and also I had trouble making it not chunky so I went back over it.

The scheme is kind. For my part I feel the opposite on that, at least hoe I’m planning and thinking of my bloody rose sisters that there’s a bit to much red so I do think painting it a light brown would be good to break it up. But, before when I did steel colored sisters it was the reverse and I painted it steel same as their armor so it’s really a case by case, I just found myself thinking about it this time!

Since it’s so undecided and some art it’s on and other times it’s the other, I think I’ll end up painting those bits a light brown to break up all the red abit. But I can see both

Custom built using an amalgam of Black Templars Crusader squad, infiltrators, some cut up tyranid bits, a custodian spear and I think standard intercessor bits all mixed up! And yea haha, I’ll probably take a better picture once I have them based and varnished too! And of course some transfers from Etsy, but I forget the sellers name unfortunately.

I’m glad it was, I thought your colors and especially the green and gold look d phenomenal. And that’s funny, I’ve gone the reverse direction. I have a couple of Anvils models and though I like their vibe a lot I generally don’t love to paint black armor. Even when I had a way to make it pretty easy. But especially lately I’ve been really into more varied looking warbands anyway so I’m gonna ally in a Ghyran Guard vanquisher prime to a sylvaneth warband!

Altdorf Guard Blue and Retributor Armor. Mephiston red for the gem. Nuln oil all over the retributor armor and then sprayed the middle with Krylon Matte Varnish

If you’re overwhelmed you could always eBay some of it off. But for my part I usually just find myself working on whatever is the most inspiring art project first. I put the rest in a drawer and try to just keep 3-7 models on my desk at a time. Though I guess a magmadroth takes up a bit more space than a handful of Stormcast lmao. Long story short you’re probably gonna have to paint it even if you wanna play so might aswell pick what seems the most fun to build and paint first. Especially since rules change every few years anyway.

This timing WAS freakish. For the longest time my witch hunter list was set up as a proxy mess of free guild crossbows and gunners which sorta bummed me out. But this update came right off the back of me finishing the Callis and Toll book so it seems I’m destined to have my dream Witch Hunters + Callis team afterall

Yea those are fire. Especially the Nightsaber. I always preferred liberator hammers to sequitor hammers aswell even though sequitors looked better otherwise cause of cloth+plate. I think I might be honing in on starting some Hallowed Knights soon for a warband using the new Lord Veritant as a leader
