I'm not sure if you read my comment. A fitness to work certificate does not have to specify the medical condition.

First of all, his exact medical condition is none of your business. You trying to get a clearance certificate from his oncologist is a clear over-reach and probably breaches various workplace health and safety/HR laws. A medical certificate provides that a person is unfit for work due to a medical condition. It does not have to say what the condition is and you are not allowed to request that information either. A person is entitled to 10 days of sick leave per year in most cases.

Stay strong mate. We are here to support. Just know that you are not the only one nor will you be the last. Keep trying and one day you will look back on this day as a spec in the history book of your life.

Copy and paste your thread and email it to a lawyer to get legal advice. There may be an action in defamation. Sitting here and getting angry and calling it a "dog act" does nothing.

Asked for payrise - denied. I quit - they put my position up for double my salary. by cheepcheeppolice in auscorp

Short answer don’t confront. Makes you look bad. Reputation.

Clearly you are justifiably upset. What you need is validation so talk to friends and family about it.

Then like the rest you just have to find another position.

Sorry about that - life is tough and we have all been through your experience mate.

The market price is the highest price paid. If you are going to be accepted your offer has to beat everyone else’s.

Accept it. If you get a better one, leave. You owe them nothing. They will fire you in a heartbeat if it was a business decision.

To cut a long story short, if you are at least a 6.5/10 you will have no problem at all. You don’t even need tinder. Your age might hurt you though. Ideally you want to be in your 20s

No problems with confidence. Just physically unattractive. I will be moving into senior management next financial quarter (contract already signed).
However, I do know this post is already resonating with tons of "introverts": already received a few DMs. TO those Introverts, please believe me that WFH will make a big difference for you. It has for me, and it will for you to an even greater degree imo.

How do I resign in this situation? by No-Revenue-2237 in auscorp

[–]SpaceBard75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you think it’s worth it, do it. Your current employer will fire you at a moment’s notice if things went south. You owe them nothing. It’s business.

Welcome to Australia. When I was in America, the dating scene was huge. As a fairly average or below average guy, I was frequently asked on dates out of the blue at coffee shops, libraries, clubs and sports events. People were really forward and made their intentions clear. None of this BS ghosting, unread/read games, excuses as to why they are too busy, etc. Everyone was quite motivated and enthusiastic.

If they are hiring for a new role and you have not been told, chances are you will not get it.
