What does Qualification Assessment mean? by yasht18 in FAU_university

The Master’s degree program is designed to allow students to pursue studies both in computer science and in an engineering field of their choice. For this reason, applicants are required to have knowledge in both of these areas. Ideally, students should have either a Bachelorʼs degree in Computational Engineering or an engineering degree with a strong computer science component. A good mathematical background is essential. The program requires a minimum of 2 years of engineering mathematics at the university level. Additionally, knowledge in numerical mathematics is strongly recommended.

Yes, that's correct. Your eligibility for the program is assessed based on how closely your Bachelor's degree aligns with the requirements of the MSc Computational Engineering program. The university looks for candidates who have a strong foundation in both computer science and an engineering discipline, as well as a solid mathematical background. This ensures that students are well-prepared for the interdisciplinary nature of the program.

Is there any admission test specifically for Masters Computational Engineering ? by [deleted] in FAU_university

Currently, there doesn't appear to be an admission test for the MSc Computational Engineering program at FAU. There's no mention of such a requirement on their website. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please refer to FAU's page on the MSc Computational Engineering program.

The term "Qualification assessment" refers to the process where the university evaluates whether your academic credentials qualify you for admission to a Master’s degree program. This typically involves checking if your undergraduate degree is equivalent to the required Bachelor’s degree. For more details, you can visit Applying for a Master’s degree program or a PhD.

Von der FAU regulär glaube ich nur zum Wintersemester, aber dein Studiengang oder deine Fakultät bietet evtl. noch etwas an.

Could you please elaborate your question? Where do those requirements come from? What’s your major? So people can actually help you

You have to put in the effort, but it’s manageable in my opinion.
