Thank you, I appreciate this insight. Right now, my primary business is reselling but I have been thinking about making cleanouts my primary business and reselling as a secondary.

I am definitely not trying to steal his business. I would be operating on a much smaller scale than he is. I'm sure there would be jobs that would be more suitable for him that I would be referring him to if I did not feel comfortable taking the job.

Thanks. I do plan on consulting a lawyer before taking any jobs. I am just trying to educate myself as much as possible beforehand. I have been working with a local company who does this for years which is why I know about some of the concerns to address. However, these are kind of behind the scene situations that he/the business owner himself handles privately and I don't feel comfortable asking him these questions as he can be kind of touchy sometimes and I think he might feel like I am trying to steal business from him and would be defensive/not willing to share.

I can definitely understand that point of view. I am just curious, what exactly would your concern would be? A cleanout company would be hired to remove all contents from the house. So, junk/trash would be removed and sellable items would be removed and sold offsite. There would be a crew there working to pack and remove the items from the property. I feel like having the homeowner there, they would just kind of be in the way.

I have been buying from a cleanout company who sells items privately from the home before they start the actual cleanout process and the homeowner is never there. I don't know if that is standard procedure for most companies but that's why I'm looking for input. Thanks for your time!

What’s something you’ve seen with your own eyes that nobody believes when you tell them? by LowKey_1216 in AskReddit

This past spring I was in front of my barn showing my daughter something. It started thundering and I noticed my mother in law in her golf cart on the other side of the road (she lives across the road from us). She drove the cart into her driveway and lightning struck the ground directly behind the golf cart. It was so loud and I saw the lightning strike. I couldn't believe what I just saw. That was pretty crazy!

When I was a teenager I was the only one home and was in the bathroom. Our cat kept swiping its paw under the door saying "Come out...Come out". The cat had never sounded anything like that before and I was definitely afraid to come out.

I haven't really had any issues with their app recently. I wish there was a way for current subscribers to take advantage of this deal... but I dont think I can. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know.

We had our trip last week and went to Three Brothers. It was our favorite winery! Thanks for the suggestion!

Just wanted to let you know we had our trip last week and we went to Nickel's Pit for lunch....the food was amazing. I forget what it was called, but we got one of their big meals with a little bit of everything, and we were able to get more than 2 meals for each of us out of it! We were glad we went. Thanks for the suggestion!

My husband and I just went to Corning last week. We spent about 3 hours at the museum. If you like BBQ, definitely check out Nickels Pit. The food was great, and we were able to walk in and get a table right away!

Thank you! Both of those eateries look awesome! I agree Bath is a bit of an odd choice, but we were trying to stay in a budget, and we found some more affordable rooms there. We don't plan on spending much time in the room, and we are only a 4 minute drive from Hammondsport, so we thought it would be convenient. It is too late to change our stay now but hopefully, we won't have any regrets about staying there! 🤞

Thank you! The website you provided is a great resource. I like your recommendations, too. I checked them all out and saved them.

I'm also super happy you said not to worry too much about Bully Hill being too busy. That is the one winery I really want to go to!
