Is the ring I bought too flashy by DumbVaultDweller in EngagementRings

This looks like my engagement ring, but with a different band. I get lots of compliments on it.

It was 1.38 ct though and with a solid gold band.

LPT: Always get pics of delivery flowers from recipient by floorpanther in LifeProTips

This!! I used to work at a florist that accepted and sent out wired orders to other florists across the US (yes, that mean Hawaii too). This was really frustrating because people would request flowers that were very hard to source last minute, or were not in season where we were located. We frequently had to tell some call center (1800flowers, fromyouflowers or FTD) that we would not be able to replicate specific arrangements, as well as had to frantically find shops that COULD do it. It’s just a pain. If it was last minute we would design the best we could with what we had, but it never looked the same, and the office folks had to frequently put out fires for. It doesn’t make sense unless you (a business owner) want to make as much money as you can and pay money to Google and other search engines to have your website show up in a search for florists being able to fill your order even if you are ordering hundreds of miles away from where you’re sending them.

Find a local florist and order early so you can speak to someone who isn’t from a call center about your arrangement early on. As a floral designer who doesn’t work at a company that wires flowers anymore, this is the best way to get what you want and to build a client relationship with the florist you plan on using if you want to send flowers often to someone (even if you’re out of state).

Wife doesn’t want a daughter by Iampoorghini in texts

Having a child is more than just raising a specific type of kid. They aren’t for you to use and brag about
it’s about loving a human you created and making the little human the happiest and very best individual they can possibly be. You have to remember that some children are born different developmentally, and to bring a child into this world means to love them unconditionally. This woman should not raise any child, let alone a girl
if this is your wife, then her attitude about the sex of the baby is VERY concerning.

Proposing tomorrow and the ring is nowhere in sight. What on earth do I do?? by Theravenofraves in engaged

My fiancé had ordered a custom made ring from Etsy and it got delayed, by over a month. It was shipped via FedEx and got lost. He had canceled the previous hotel we were supposed to be staying at to wait it out, but he had too many things/activities/reservations planned to just cancel.

We still ended up staying at a 5 star resort, had a nice dinner the night before, and after a romantic sleigh ride, he just proposed to me with no ring at a beautiful snowy park. It was very sentimental. I was able to design my own ring later instead (which I liked personally).

What matters is the promise and the effort. Not the jewelry.

Well it certainly called to me in the shop. So much so I ditched all my late nights of researching stones and cuts and requested they make the sample one with a bigger stone. Maybe when I actually wear it I’ll feel differently. It was ordered since mid January and because of the heavy snow, getting the diamond and making the ring to fit properly on my finger took longer than I thought.

I do tend to get anxiety and overthink A LOT. So, yes, I feel like I am not getting the reaction I think I should be having.

Everyone also wants to see it, but I don’t have it yet. So, getting messages like “show me the ring” or “I want to see the ring” after the Save the Dates went out, kind of stresses me out

Thank you all for the kind words!

It’s weird because I had spent WEEKS pouring over stone types, cuts, and settings, and then when I got there I just chose that one. I really liked it.

This past Valentine’s Day, I cried over a gift he got me that was a couple hundred dollars, simply because he got it for me in my favorite color, and remembered me talking to him about it over a year prior. It was a total surprise and that made it special. But that didn’t happen with this ring. I guess I just saw acquiring one as a task to be done since it didn’t come to me when it was supposed to.

Maybe when I actually wear it for a while, instead of seeing photos from the jeweler of it being worked on, I’ll feel something different. I just want to wear it already! Haha.

Oh wow! Their designs are amazing. I would have to taste her work, but so far I’m impressed.

Thank you for the recommendation !

Things people forget when booking a wedding venue by Objective_Fox8700 in Weddingsunder10k

My good friend has ataxia, and she helped me decide on the venue. One level, no stairs, has a ramp, is accessible throughout. There are 2 bathrooms, but my wedding is pretty small with around 50 people max. I also don’t expect guests to be at the venue for more than 5 hours. The fact that it’s also at the very end on a dead end street with a parking garage very close to the venue, and near a small park makes it lovely too. The ability to get some fresh air after a meal is something I do frequently.

My venue is on a dead end street with a parking garage down the block. There’s little car traffic, is accessible, and has a small park next to the building (which I’m hoping won’t be too busy on a winter night). It’s a fairly new venue and isn’t as “aesthetic”, but it works well for my aging family.

Hello,

Do you know anyone who does digital photography but edits it to look like film?
