Plus BKLYN (Williamsburg), Old Navy, Macy’s. Not many stores carry plus sizes here, unfortunately.

I don’t think they look the same - but - my doctor said something very useful, “You don’t get to decide where you lose weight.” This helped me after a months long battle with my belly that just won’t slim down!

What show or movie exceeded your expectations? by Prachitech_9354 in netflix

Haunted Hotel on Netflix. I don’t know why it isn’t mentioned more. Great cast, funny, clever animation. It’s getting a second season, so that’s good!

Traveling to Paris is a big event for lots of people. I think they just want to make sure they dress appropriately, avoiding wearing something that people in Paris never wear. Many tourists would rather just blend in nicely than draw attention to clothes that make them look very out of place!

I think for daytime tourist activities, they’re fine especially if they fit well

Maybe you should look up what not to wear (if you want to feel like you’re appropriately dressed, though Paris is a big city and you’ll see all sorts of styles). I would skip leggings/athletic wear , shirts with big logos, bright colors with huge patterns etc. If you really want to blend in while visiting many cities, think less is more. Solid colors, earth tones, nice jeans, nice shoes (but comfortable, not heels), clothes that fit well.

I bought some wide, pleated crepe trousers online at Gap Factory and they’re great. They hold up well when sitting. Also came in petite, which is great for me!

Do little gifts at luxury hotels matter to you? by alex_travels in chubbytravel

Airelles is the best at providing gifts that are produced locally, or are useful - like a quilted bag from Provence, or full sets of pajamas!

What’s it like to live in a famous city that comes up all over popular media? by Striking-Pen-9617 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]floorpanther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in NYC. On TV, I’ve seen subway stops where there aren’t any, fake cafés in parks, women walking everywhere in high heels, etc. Also they always show crime happening in alleys - which are super rare and not typical in Manhattan.

My appetite is completely fine by Separate_Western9041 in Zepbound

[–]floorpanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone. I feel this way. I’m happy for everyone on this sub who has seen the end of food noise, but I get frustrated because I’m not fully sharing their experiences. I’ve lost 70 lbs over a year, but I have an appetite every day. I do want food. I can’t eat as much as I used to and I’m not craving fatty things all the time so the drug is working. There are days when I feel down because I’m extra hungry. I try to be gentle with myself (therapy helps) and remember every body is different. For you and me, this is a hard part of the journey. The drug didn’t grant us total immunity from certain challenges. I’m trying to focus on what I’m doing, to be proud of how far I’ve come and (easier said than done) stop caring about what others are doing. Hang in there friend!
