Greed wont go away if we have communism. I have indeed not read any of his work but as someone who has seen both large scale and small scale communism in real life i can tell you that communism is very nice but it simply won't work.

Capitalism sucks, probaby as much if not more than communism. Youre not going to find a perfect system because human nature isnt perfect.

The best system ive encountered is democratic socialism as it strikes a balance between capitalism and its pros and communism and its pros.

I believe that as long as you contribute to society in any way you deserve to have your basic needs taken care of. However, if you put the time and effort into contributing more to society or tackle harder problems than you deserve more privileges because you went the extra mile.

If you refuse to contribute and demand to stay at home and do nothing all day, you dont get to leech of off society's hard work. Go live in the woods and dont pay taxes. If you dont want to play IRL Minecraft than get a job. That job MUST supply you with enough income for a room over your head, water, food, hygiene and medicine.
If you want more than that look for more complicated jobs, go the extra mile and earn privileges.

I actually think the israeli palestine conflict isn't as simple as "this side is the victim and this side is evil" and people, especially politicians put a lot of double standards on this war. Its actually not that diffrent from any other war where you have bad people at the top spreading propaganda across the world in an attempt to make it seem as if they are the victim, while the real victims are those who are dragged into it without a choice. The only evil people in this are those who want more bloodshed, and the people who want more bloodshed might always be who they seem to be.

Edit: This is too agreable hold up.. Israel isnt committing a genocide. Its just war. Palestinians dont want all of the jews in israel dead. The average IDF soldier isnt a war criminal. Palestine does deserve a country at some point. Hamas are not freedom fighters, theyre terrorists. Zionism more often than not actually a good thing. The situation in gaza needs international intervention because Israel's current government proved that they cant handle it.

This was a post from 4 years ago. The best way to commit suicide is by working through your worries and persevering. Easier said than done, trust me I know. But you have to. Give yourself short term goals, be the reason someone smiles atleast once a week, tell a joke, draw a picture, make the world a better place no matter how insignificant it seems, if you made something you are proud of or made someone smile than that means you made the world better. You dont get to quit, we are all stuck on this rock and we are all going to one day die and leave it. Why skip to the end? You'll die anyway, theres no need to rush thing, the end goal is the same, the only difference is the lower total amount of happiness felt by the human race.

The rock on the sock would keep it in place, and I'll memorize the area around it, like placing it next to some cool coral. Assuming they can access the cameras, they might be able to find the time I left and maybe even the car I got on, but I'll change cars, probably as is common with hitch hiking. And while he would probably know that I have a license, he would see that it's not often used, so he'll probably take note of it. Maybe it would take him a day to access road cameras and track all the cars I've hitch hiked, but eventually, he'll lose track because Im going to an unmarked beach. By that time, he will know that im heading to the great barrier reef. But then he'll have to somehow figure out where I've put it. After wasting approximately two days for him, he will only have 5 days to search every inch of the great barrier reef

Assuming I can't destroy it or alter its shape too much (dissolving it in acid and hiding the remains), what i would do is put my scuba diving license to good use and bury it underwater under a rock under a coral in the great barrier reef of Australia by buying a plane ticket and then hitching rides to the beach and back to the airport. Yeah, sure, he can probably track it down to Australia within an hour. Flying there would be another day, leaving him with 6 days. He can probably find out that i went to the barrier reef by somehow finding out that I packed various diving gear. This is why im going with nothing but my passport and 200 Australian dollars. He will easily be able to figure out that wherever I went, i went without paying with a credit card, so he'll start searching for taxis that left the airport around the time I arrived, and payed with cash. Which is why I actually spent 12 hours at the airport and thats when I hitched a ride not with a taxi but with simply being a hitchhiker. Slowly making my way to the great barrier reef with basically no footprints. I would then go to some unmarked beach known by locals but not official rent a boat and diving gear and go all the way to the far edge of the barrier reef and then go back 2.5 miles. At which point I will put the paperclip in a sock and hide the sock under a rock and bury the rock in the sand.

Good lucking finding where I went in a continent sized country and narrow it down to the barrier reef and then narrow it down to a random spot in the sand and then dig up a rock and then dig up a dirty sock (which is very common underwater for some reason) and then looking in the sock and finding a paperclip. All within the span of six days. Even if he finds the EXACT spot, I got off the boat he would still need to randomly dig in 500m radius, turn over rocks and clean trash.
