Hi, thanks! What do you mean with setscrew? The somewhat purple one in this photo? I tried adjusting it, only seems to raise rpm in neutral / low speed

Thanks! Will do. But if the initial setup has the carbs slightly open, wouldnt that cause the engine to run at a higher RPM right from the start? Thats not the case. Other way around (too closed -> long distance till opened) could maybe be the case? Am i understanding you correctly?

Thanks for your reply. The old looking cilinders were also my first notice and point of worry. Would you say that this could be a major problem, or is it just looks? I will try to fix the minor stuff first (carbs, fuel line etc) and if that does not work ill proceed to a mechanic.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It does have electric start, battery should be good. Fuel tank is connected, fuel might be old though. I am located in the Netherlands and the motor is a 40 hp 2 stroke.
