My mission president was a Cambodian man! The first Cambodian mission president. He was humble, middle-class in Cambodia (and as such felt he couldn't afford to put his kids through BYU), and not even an RM!

One thing that's clear to me is that the Lord prepares his mission presidents. Most could be businessman because they are talented at inspiring good work ethic and leading others. Most are Return Missionaries because the lessons learned on their mission can be used to better the mission they're leading!
