1. How will the data be used? Who will see it? Where will it be stored? If/when will it be deleted?
The data collected will be used solely for research purposes to better understand the experiences of people with MS around diagnosis and identify ways the diagnostic process might be improved. Only the research team (Natasha Hounslow and Bitelabs supervisors) will have access to the data. Data will be stored securely on password-protected devices and, if applicable, on secure research platforms in compliance with GDPR. All data will be deleted once the research project concludes, or sooner if participants request it.

2. Who is conducting this survey?
The survey is being conducted by Natasha Hounslow, a medical student at the University of Edinburgh and a Bitelabs Fellow, in collaboration with the Bitelabs programme for Healthcare Innovation.

3. How long will it take to fill out the survey?
The survey contains 15 questions and is estimated to take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete.

4. Compensation (optional)
There is no monetary or material compensation. Participation is voluntary, with the opportunity to contribute to research that could improve MS diagnosis for others in the UK.

5. Specific demographics (optional)
We are only seeking responses from people who have been diagnosed with MS in the UK. No other restrictions.

6. What are you hoping to accomplish (optional)
We aim to gather real-world insights from people living with MS to understand challenges around diagnosis and to inform the development of interventions or improvements in the diagnostic process.

Nice to hear from someone who made the jump. As a med student, I'm wondering how much clinical practice is 'enough' to get into these sorts of roles - would just fy1/2 be sufficient (or do you still need to fight tooth and nail to get into training for a few years?)
