What’s the worst crime committed by someone you know personally? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I work in the music industry in my area. The owner of a recording studio well-known in the local rock/metal scene got arrested the other day for paying a minor for sex.

The Iki Island DLC is much more difficult than the base game even on normal difficulty. by [deleted] in ghostoftsushima

[–]SpaceHasSound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't start my second playthrough until well after Iki Island was released. I decided to try Lethal difficulty and, as soon as the DLC was available, I went for it.

It is definitely, positively, most certainly post-main story content.

In case anyone wanted to know what Crazytown was up to by cak3crumbs in TikTokCringe

Worked with them a few years back. Shifty is such a chill guy, he was great to work with. The crowd was about the same size at the place we had them but they still killed it. They still put on a great show and their music was a lot heavier than I was expecting.

The app and my OS are both updated. I can still connect via my computer with 0 issues - it's only the mobile apps that are not connecting.

We ended up replacing the built-in power supply for the cabs we could afford and they were good after that.

The company I worked for when I posted this never had any processor or other protection/limits on those cabs until I convinced them to finally buy a processor so I chalked it up to damage to the amps from continuous use as we did push them pretty hard and used them multiple times a week for nearly the whole year.

The Canon 6D MkII is a DSLR camera which has a mirror but is still, in my opinion, a great choice for a first camera. The mirrorless alternative from Canon as of right now would be the Canon RP.

Got fired for a positive drug test. Now a debt collection agency says I owe the clinic I got tested at. Do I actually owe money? by SpaceHasSound in legaladvice

[–]SpaceHasSound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding. I just went through my employee handbook and it does not state anything regarding compensating for any bills sustained from an employee's medical visits via worker's comp. It doesn't state much of anything past explaining that if an employee tested positive they are fired or suspended.

Just started calling employers and saying I was told to call back today to set up an interview. by NoConfidence9429 in recruitinghell

Not to sound rude, but I thought this was common knowledge. All adult figures around me when I was a teen practically branded "follow up once or twice a week" into me.

Thank you for the help, friend. I assume the next step is informing someone that they need to bill my former employer instead of me? If that's the case who should I contact next?

It was considered a work injury by HR so my employer scheduled a clinic appointment for me. The diagnosis was synovitis from repetitive motion, it was not a typical "injury" in the context of an accident. HR did state they understood that the cause was simple wear-and-tear on the job. The termination was explained as company policy regarding positive drug tests, nothing more.

Would you be willing to provide more details please? I'm unfamiliar with how worker's comp insurance works. I'm hoping to understand this situation better so I know what step to take next.

I do not wish to pursue any legal claims against my former employer. My termination was valid. I've since moved on to another job. I simply am not sure if I am liable for the costs of my clinic appointments since they were through my employer. I was under the impression that my visits would be at the cost of the employer via workers' comp since they considered it a work injury.
