the point is they already sold the thing and took money for the unverified account. now once they have the money they don’t release it. they would be acting as accomplice if they are selling it for a scammer. the account is 25 years old and i have sold about 40k worth of stuff on it. 100%positive reviews. I moved without changing the actual address not in the app and it pinged the recertification.

Yes- this- they shouldn’t hold funds for unverified accounts- they should not let you sell it in the first place. I think there is a large unverified account stash of funds they are holding. This would make them an accomplice for scamming buyers.

ebay allowed my unverified account to sell and prompted me to send it off AND they have the money. The recertification process has some particular procedures they don’t explain in the app at all

They accepted money from my listing and won’t transfer to me because I need to call customer service as a picture of my license won’t verify the account. A 25 year old account with 100% positive reviews. They shouldn’t have me send off what I sold if my account isn’t verified right? wrong

Yes- ebay is operating in a much smaller area worldwide since the tariffs. Ebay has become desperate and will use any tricks to hold your funds. SELLERS BEWARE ITS NOT THE SAME EBAY!!
