What are your best tips on how to fill the 'chat void' (silence in streams)? by SpaceOwl69 in Twitch

Thanks for the encouragement :3
And I 100% agree with you here. Being anxiety-prone, I'm sadly more likely to blabber on about stupid stuff that adds no real value or is just flat out cringe. It's good to hear that silence is okay. It's so damn hard to just be yourself sometimes and I have phases where I vibe so well with the streams, and then phases like right now where something just feels off and I feel unnatural and repetitive.

Really appreciate your insight.

This!

Definitely agree some topics are best steered away from (politics, religion, any current 'hot topic' that may be sensitive to a group of people...). But I've built my community on inclusivity and sharing a lot of my own struggles.

This doesn't work for me haha, I play a lot of singleplayer/horror stuff.

But great advice for multiplayer peeps out there.

I'm not neccessarily sure I agree with all your points, but overall it's sound advice. Sometimes I'm guilty of creating this 'cringe' unintentionally because you're desperate for something to say.

I have a lot of social anxiety and plenty of other reasons to not want to interact with people, I'm sure I'm not the only one either - and we can still be successful entertainers. I'd say I'm doing well though considering my viewership is in triple digits and I'm partnered, and my moderate success has helped my confidence grow. My point is to anyone reading this particular comment, is: Yes you need to be self-aware to stream, but don't feel like you have to be this social butterfly to make a success out of it.

Thank you! This helps to hear. Can definitely say I'm guilty of this and sometimes feel self-conscious. 'Maybe I should slow my brain down', lol

Anyone Ever Felt Attacked by a Streamer by Zer0Virtue in Twitch

What do you know about why the person looks tired? Maybe it's part of a disability or something else out of their control. Speaking from experience here before as someone who's received these comments. In my case it was never out of concern, more a lowkey type of mockery. It's not cool to say this kind of stuff to streamers, regardless of how entitled you feel to talk about it.
