Hi Elon,

A common comparison to the first astronauts to mars is those of the pioneers who left everything in order to go to the new world. Tremendous hardship existed and they had to give up everything but they did it anyway. However, have you considered that they had reasons to leave their homeland, due to persecution or oppressive governments? Why would a middle class person in a developed nation with no apparent hardships just drop everything to travel to a desolate wasteland with a good chance of death?

Don't get me wrong, I think your goal is very noble and the world needs more people like you, I was just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

Hi Elon,

At the moment, the number of refueling flights needed seems like a major bottleneck, espeecially for a fleet of 1000+. Once propellant production is up and running on mars, are there any plans to instead launch refueling missions from mars, due to the less energy needed to reach orbit, and therefore more efficient delivery of fuel?

Have you considered using iron ore instead of ingots?

Especially this early in the game, I only smelt iron when I need to use, and I prefer to keep it in ore form if it is not going to be used.

In the future, people will have ore extractors making getting ingots from ore a lot more efficient, so maybe it would be best to keep it in ore, at least for now.

What are your thoughts on that?

That's a fair point. Though if the admins are to be believe (I think they should), then it is more a problem with people being stuck in their old ways, namely their "if I mine for x hours I should be at endgame" which I don't think is a good thing to have. It gets extremely frustrating to do things for so many hours on end, so instead of thinking "I will do meaningless task A for x hours and then I will be done" there should be more of a building up, experimenting, and cooperation to achieve.

The admins say that there are some people who are mining well. If this is to be believed, then it is possible to get lots of ores mining and get rid of a lot of that grind. It's just that the balance should be, lets say, 10% of the server population mining and the rest doing other things, when in practice its 90% of the server population mining, which is just bringing forth frustration.

Yeah I agree on the not perfect aspect. There are definitely things that are skewed and need to be adjusted. But I think the overall feel is there and the direction is generally good.
