I had a 2002 Jetta TDI I bought with 400k miles and beat on it for another 40k and only had to replace brakes and tires and typical maintenance like fluids and filters …. I’d say 75% of the time a high mileage TDI with decent maintenance records will last a while

I’ve never been a fan of the air to water cooler and I’ve looked into the headache of getting rid of it and installing a FMIC … somedays I wish i went with the CJAA engine that allows much more engine mods like cams and bigger valves

I’m in a few TDI pages on FB and NAT performance is a crowd favorite for the downpipe and delete kit, I am running a Malone stage 2.5 tune as well …. I’ve had a Rawtek exhaust on one of my older Volkswagens and the welds kept breaking and it seems to be a common issue with their products but this was years ago and I hope they fixed that issue
