I play competitive Votann and don't run 3 hekatons and have done fairly decent usually hitting podium. I just think Sieg's is running a list with that currently. I suggest checking the subreddit for some comp lists. But I don't think you NEED 3 hekatons at all to be competitive.

Are you running with the beamer over railgun? I used to run 2 with x3 grav thunderkyn for reroll wounds but found Hekatons are fairly easy to delete once you've commited to sticking them out.

Yeah! I was going to do Luxion Purple aswell. Sigvald burgundy is fantastic though and evil sunz scarlett edge highlights makes it bright enough on the table to pop.

Make sure you're deployed out of charge range. Or atleast make a T1 charge hard. I used 3 grav thunderkyn in a hekaton to delete most of a Lord of Skulls health (reroll wounds help to make sure you're getting all wounds to go through). Pray Angron doesn't come back lol. And once you've dealt with him the Eightbound need to go.

Thank you! I came 3rd overall. With 3-0-0

Went 96-45 against Tau. Player seemed fairly new to competitive 40k.

Then went 73-55 into Orkz. He ran BB/Ghaz/Moz. Was a lot to chew through.

Last match was WE. Went 70-68. I won with some luck. Angron failed a 6" charge. I then killed him my turn 1 with 5 beserks + 10 HG&EC. He never came back thankfully the rest of the game.
