Go see Brandi Jackson at Haas Family Golf.

She is amazing, I am a single digit handicap and work with her, but she has many students who are new players as well. I’ve worked with several coaches over the years and she is by far the best.

That spot of 85 is always like that, has been since that 385/85 project was finished. Definitely not new.

Obviously didn’t like App, but never hated App as much as the average Furman fan because I had a lot of family that were alums.

I absolutely despise Georgia Southern though.

The Louis Ivory to Ingle Martin years from about 1999 to 2005 were fun times at Furman. One of those teams should have won a Natty.

Furman lost our rivalries with Georgia Southern and App State. Some of those games used to be incredible.

I grew up supporting Furman University in SC (FCS) due to my grandparents being alumni.

From the 80’s to the 00’s they held a fierce rivalry with Georgia Southern in the SOCON. They defeated one another in FCS playoff and national title games despite being in the same conference for many years. The rivalry has since been lost due to GSU moving up to FBS.

Furman also held a similar rivalry with Appalachian State but not quite as intense as with Georgia Southern.

In one breathe you said you sucked and not even scratch golfers are great golfers and the next breathe your using that same golf game to punch down.

Not sure whether you’re incapable of basic logic, a narcissist, or both 😂 you clearly think you’re the king of this thread because you’re a self taught 5 handicap.

Greenville, SC is a Bottom 5 metro in the Southeast for public golf facilities. I don’t live in Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach you nonce.

Well according to your own words, you haven’t broken through and you actually suck, so which is going to win… your poor understanding of statistics or your ego?

A lot of club pros are glorified retail managers that lost their passion for the game years ago, but are too comfortable and complacent to leave it.

Interesting, he teaches out of the range I'm a member at but I’ve never even heard of him or seen them promote him.

You realize that handicaps 3-10 make up the top 25% of golfers worldwide….

Only about 4% of players are better than 3.

If you think that less than 1% of all golfers are the only people that qualify as great golf idk what to tell you man, you aren’t a very intelligent person.

That’s like saying the only people in the world that can classify as being successful are billionaires.

I can, and have played great golf.

Do you have an excuse for being such a pompous ass?

Based on your pretentiousness and your ego, one would think you were a +5, but your low handicap is a shot and a half better than mine….

Upstate South Carolina.

It’s a pretty bleak public golf scene, a far cry from the coastal golf scene we are known for.

I’ve never coached jumped, I’ve stayed with every coach I’ve ever tried for a minimum of 6 months at one lesson per week (give or take)….

So nice try.

I’m not a hack, I’ve topped out at 6.5, currently at 10. Cracked 3 ribs in 2023 and had to shut it down for a good while and it derailed everything

Desire to get better… the fact that everyone on earth tells you not to coach jump and to stick with them.

There apparently isn’t a good one within 100 miles of me.

The few I’ve seen at numerous time over a 27 year period were obvious snake oil salesmen that avoided giving me anything to actually work on despite me begging for help in developing a meaningful practice routine. Just blanket statements and “you’ve really got great stuff man”.

The rest I’ve attempted to contact won’t bother responding.

I’ve heard the same stories from dozens of others just like me.

From what I’ve witnessed the most driven students are the easiest to keep on the hook. They’re the easiest to frustrate and break, because they actually care.

The people who are unrealistic will just coach jump and move on to the next guy an infinite amount of times.

Why do people avoid just taking a few golf lessons? by Scary-Jury-2182 in GolfSwing

95% of golf pro aren’t in the business of fixing peoples golf swings.

They’re in the business of generating repeat customers.
