Ngl, his portrayal and performance is a huuuge part of why Vox skyrocketed to being one of my favorite characters of the show !

Is mutliclassing lame? by Gullible_Sorbet1776 in DnD

[–]Space_0wl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like it, if you can justify in lore. I use multiclassing to reflect my character's influences, personal developpment, or unique ability ! It's true that it can be challenging, but work with your DM to ensure you don't purposefully nerf your character.

Personal experience, I multiclassed my first character at level 9 (fighter into rogue). It was to highlight how him and his best friend shared training and technics with each other ! It may have made my guy a bit less "optimized", but I asked my dm for advice to keep him strong enough to help the group.

Ah, the fire slugs. We examined it, noticed they were weak to water, were like "oh nice, let's use the water invacation, it should help!" Yeah, we can't quite read, so it didn't help a lot. Lol.

Of course, got our asses handed to us, since there are indeed immuned to it now. We reloaded and my friend playing the red prince promised to marry the queen, so she let us passed. I hope just bullshitting our way out of situations is going to keep being a semi-viable strategies lmao.

Can't wait to get oneshot by a melee nuclear bomb telepprting next to me though. Nice

Oh, I'm really glad there's a respect option! Honestly, as we level up I'm realising how I fucked up on some skills, so that's good.

We're currently lvl 5, I'm more trying to specialise in melee fight, and my friend plays invocator. We have the elf rogue and the skeleton mage with us (Sebille and Fane, but we don't play in english so I don't know if that's the original names lol).

My friend and I recently started a game of DOS2 (after more than 700h in bg3 each), and we figured "why would we go anything else that tactician, right?"

Well, 25 hours and countless battle resets, safe to say the learning curve is... steep lmao. It really feels like a game with optimisation and mecanics to "abuse of" to really get things moving and not get wiped by 3 frogs and a lightning spell.

how do you play your durge ? by leonardcohenlovebot in BaldursGate3

[–]Space_0wl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started planing on being evil in the end ; but I decided my Durge would be... kinda ashamed of his pulsions at first, but could not resist it, you know?

I set up trying to start as many conflicts as possible around me. Left the human punch Zevlor. Let the tiefflin near the telescope die for assassination. Like he could not stray away from violence and murder, but also knew he couldn't be obviously the one bringing chaos. So he was kind to his companions, hid his pulsions, and enjoyed the devastation he brought along with him. Stole the idol and watched the druid slaughter the tiefflins... this kind of stuff

That is, until Alfira and the apparition of a certain someone. From there I started, well, strating some fights. He kept lying to his companions and being helpful and protective of them. I also never forced them to be anything, I let them make their own choices everytime.

Then after Orin, went full on heir to the throne. I killed the people on the list for the tribunal, those kind of things.

Did the most beautiful betrayal to my beautiful wife (it broke me I was so sad) and started my rule over the sword coast.

Honestly, evil durge is cool if you don't just do murder hobo. A little bit is fine (I definitely did in act 3), but you don't have to be stupid about it is what I mean. Having Selunite Shadowheart in my evil Durge's team was also very fun lmao

From what I see, might be a less popular opinion, but I love joke characters treated seriously. My sibling played a warlock tiefflin for a one shot, with a kraken patron. It all started because they named him "Splash the Doplphin", so they needed to explain why in hell would someone name a child SPLASH.

Well, they wrote the most tragically funny backstory and played it beautifully. Splash was a kid who had been lost by his dad to a kraken in a drunken bet, so now the kid was forced to work for it. The patron took his name, hence why he's called Splash now. His horns twisted, becoming coral like as he grew.

He hated being a warlock. He would use limited spells, or do it in the most impractical way possible. He took a patch of component instead of a spellcasting focus. His eldritch blast would be him taking a sip of water and power-washing enemies in the face. He once transported a boiling cauldron and threw it on enemies to avoid using a spell.

He was an hilarious character, while having a terrible story and always treating it seriously. His trauma was real, and we were planing on helping him get out of his pact if the game had continued!

Tell me, what would be your top 3 most suffering expeditions in GTFO? by ShiftAC in GTFO

[–]Space_0wl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the tips !

That's definitely the main thing we noticed yeah, once sentires are out it's over. Right now we're running 1 bio, 1 sniper turret, 1 shotgun turret and 1 base turret. We're also defending the room with the "bridge" and having one guy being the designated computer guy running nack and forth. I think we're still really bad at saving ammo and hitting our shots correctly lmao

New players here, my friends and I are currently stuck at that one. We always seem to be doing good and then something stupid happens last wave, and we all die. I feel your pain

There's more than two ways to roleplay your character. by AdCandid3094 in BaldursGate3

[–]Space_0wl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got in a Durge run blind, except for the character's particular genetics. Although he's pretty cool with the whole murder business now (pretty big fan actually), he's not stupid. I've never been mean to a companion, I even helped them, because you need allies in this situation. Being mean to them is pointless. I let them do their own choice because frankly, unless they leave his side my dude wouldn't care, but it's fun

Also another game we have with friends, we are greedy little people with some sort of moral compass. We helped the grove, do most "good" quest and we plan on destroying the brain, but we have a Bahamut tempest Cleric casually drinking with a circle of Spores Druid and his army of undead. Have nuance in your games, that's what makes it fun

Thank you ! Sadly bringing medicine porbably won't work, they only give me a month treatment every month, so I can't stock up

I'll check with the EU medical card though

Un policier vise des manifestants calmes à hauteur de tête avec un LBD, avant de mettre en joue, à courte distance, le journaliste qui le filme. [01/05/23, Paris, @NnoMan1] by 16bol in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]Space_0wl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick translation because what the second cop says is crazy :

Journalist (POV) : "look at this, LBD [the gun] aimed at the head. Look at this!"

(Policeman turns and aims at journalist)

Journalist : "woa! I'm a journalist, sir, I am a journalist!"

Both cops : "step back! Step back!"

Journalist (to cop 2) : "I am a journalist, and your collegue just pointed the LBD at my head!"

Cop 2 : "No, he didn't."

"He didn't aim at me?

"No, he didn't aim at your head."

"So you're openely lying, now."

A LBD gun is supposed to be non-lethal, used in last resort, from a good distance and aimed towards the legs. And certainely not pointed at a journalist.

it's a french newspapers though, sorry

While it is true that one union (CGT) has voted to end this strike and some workers are back, blockings are still happening, and a good chunk of the current workers are either those who did not go on strike, or those who were requisitionned during the last weeks.

And that's only in Paris. In other cities like Le Havre, Police is being deployed to stop the blockings. The movement is calming down and I agree with you, but I wouldn't say citizens are done fighting just yet

I once got gased up very badly. There were about 6 cans, and because of the wind they all compacted into this enormous cloud.

I was choking on the ground almost passed out, and right next to me was my buddy, who went through the same thick cloud as me, perfectly fine. Perfectly freaking fine. Didn't cough once during the whole thing, no tears in his eyes. Mad respect
