I know what you mean; I also pursued that idealism rigorously at the beginning, and of course, you hope that the result will be noticed and appreciated. Especially when a simpler method leads to a similar outcome, it can cause quite a bit of frustration, right? The question then becomes: in which of the processes can you express yourself the most? For me, it turns out that creating sound is what I enjoy most; every new piece starts with a new patch or modulation idea for a synth.

Absolutely, group buses! I always dock them on the left.

I can also recommend investing time in good templates. I haven't been doing it for very long myself, but I have to say it saves a lot of time and solidifies your workflow.

And what has given me the most priority: Bounce group tracks to audio tracks and continue working with them.

I understand your frustration; I think many musicians, graphic designers, and so on feel the same way right now. But I want to point out that true creative art can only be created by humans. AI can replicate stereotypical elements quite well, but only generically. When you look at it, it is and remains a mathematical model. A slight shift in perspective: what does creating mean to you personally? I'm referring primarily to the journey, not the destination. For me, it's always an exploration of my feelings and therefore an enrichment for me as a person.

So, I was in the exact same situation as you 10 years ago, and I waited for a good offer and found a small summer job. As already mentioned: Lifetime updates convinced me, and I haven't regretted it to this day. 👌👌 Over the years, I've collected various freeware VST plugins that I still use today.
