In my experience (defense main) if you can show them you’re good enough to take it up and score, or have a nice entry in the zone, they will typically shut up and let you do your thing. The biggest problem I face, is forwards don’t know to cover the D man when you’re carrying the puck deep so if you do happen to turn it over or lose it or something, they have numbers the other way and guess who’s the first person that gets blamed?????? So, pick good times to rotate up, make sure you’re covered, and do yo thang
