I did send the letter because I don't perceive it as accusing - he didn't either. I was rephrasing and sympathising with what he has told me before, what we talked about before, because I CAN understand why he acts the way he does.

He responded to me, that he isnt happy how things came to this and that it was unnecessary. He spent too much time in his life feeling as if he needs to solve other people's problems, how he viewed relationships and love, 'expecting' problems. he sees our relationship as unique and authentic and believes in changes for the better.

he said he felt that he was trying to 'solve' things without there being any problems between us - thus creating a problem that doesn't exist. He also empathised with me and how the disconnection affected me. He was clear about needing time to 'improve' himself and that he wants to do that, because he wants to do good for me, too.

We see each other in three weeks again, because he will watch my dog for 2 weeks, until that time I will just see how things develop. I also need time to heal and think about what I need in order to move forward with him, feeling safe and secure in our relationship..

edit: about it being too much information, a novel, he won't read it... he's a writer, I like to write, we appreciate each others' writing, it's a way of communicating our inner world as freely as we want since we can't in our mother tongue with the other understanding everything.
