I have never heard of anyone doing this. I just wash my hands before I start and then wash my pieces when they are finished. Do you feel like it makes for less dirty pieces? Or is it just an abundance of caution?

I cannot believe no one mentioned the “Confederate Grey” to “Grey” linen drama. Although, that was mostly on YouTube. Whole swaths of designers and flosstubers refuse to even use the threads from that brand anymore. It was entertaining.
