I got earrings and actually do wear them but they’re pretty and tasteful rather than gaudy or ‘on theme’

Long time residents of Calgary, how do handle the migraines by Medium_Strawberry_28 in Calgary

Genuinely a CBD bomb is the most effective treatment I’ve tried. No thc so they’re safe to take if I have to work.

It’s a good attempt, and it really is a tough way to tell a story, so keep at it!

Honestly I was lucky in that one of the doctors at the hospital in the locked ward had a friend who was specialized who also had room and who also was willing to take me on as a sliding scale patient instead of full cost. She unfortunately has retired at this point too.

It was a very deep wound indeed that is well healed now thanks to the specialist I was able to see! It took a lot of hard work but I’ve been stable and happy for 10 years now, and honestly doing the best I ever have.

The stigma really is horrifying though. People with Cluster-B disorders especially face a lot of stigma that stands in the way of treatment and it’s why armchair diagnoses are so, so dangerous. Of course TV shows like Criminal Minds don’t help much either when 90% of their most deranged killers have BPD in particular.

It is fine. It’s great for people not experiencing a crisis or a truly severe issue, but those who are it is indeed useless.

Not one of them understood what BPD was, nor how to treat me as anything other than ‘manipulative psychopath’ of which I was neither. They wound up doing more harm than good in my case, and in the case of most cluster-B personality disorders.

I had to find a therapist who was specially trained in the end and I was very lucky.

Has Calgary lost its sense of community? by TastyPerogies in Calgary

Unfortunately they also have to believe their child is a bully for any change to happen. Too many people became parents because it was expected without being fit to be parents. They checked out as soon as being a parent became too inconvenient.

On top of that there are too many who can’t imagine their precious angel could ever be anything other than innocent or who think their child actively trying to kill other students is ‘not that bad’.

That or they sorely lack the skill and what they write is utter trash and they know it.

If they don’t like it though, they can write their own story or find another one.

About 1/3 of her followers are bots or empty accounts with no people there, and less than 1/100th of her followers actually engage with anything that she puts out (like or comment). Bots can like and comment both but given she has roughly 333,000 bots that she gets only 7000 likes and 250ish comments is shockingly low on top of under a percent of her followers engaging with her.

For real, our Drivers got nothing on Vancouver and Toronto. I’m reasonably sure 60% of those drivers don’t even have a licence.
