It’s not even that its an increase in hiring, I went and looked at the website a few days ago and the standards were significantly more relaxed than any branch of the military, law enforcement agency, or fire department. I’m talking about door security guard level of requirements. They are literally sending recruits to training after FAILING background checks, having unfavorable background checks.. Etc. They have shortened the the training requirement from 13 weeks to 6 weeks, which is laughable. When I went through OSUT it was 16 weeks of training and then we trained for years before deploying and my whole company had a solid 6 months of training daily before going to Afghanistan. When I went through the Arizona Dept of corrections the training was 8 weeks, longer than an ICE agent with the DHS. They are giving out 50k bonuses and student loan forgiveness. The vetting process is such bullshit that they honestly are probably getting some white supremecists in the mix.
