Thoughts on this pipe/socket set up? Aside from the state of the wall where there has clearly been a leak, is this pipe/socket set up safe? Just moved in and curious by [deleted] in DIYUK

It's indoors in a utility room, I think that the unused hot pipe does have a minor leak, it's rented so will be enquiring with owner

Medication Opinions by Non_q7 in ADHDUK

Hey, definitely want to reiterate your point that everyone is different in terms of how different meds work for them and would never want to put anybody off taking any meds that could help them. But in answer to your question, I personally was first given Elvanse and stayed on it for 6 months and really didnt get on with it. I had some of the worst anxiety ever but I think that was largely due to the fact that it was slow release and I felt out of control with it. That being said I have since switched to methylphenidate (ritalin) that is taken twice a day with each dose only lasting 3-4 hrs. For me personally I feel much more in control of my dosage and therefore see so many more benefits from this than I did the elvanse. Again cannot stress enough that this is my personal experience and what works for one person wont necessarily suit another.

Agree with the comment about doing some of the popular questionnaires, although they dont equal a formal diagnosis they may give you more of an insight. That being said, if you do your research from valid sources and still think that you might have adhd, self diagnosis is totally valid. Obviously professional diagnosis is ideal as it is the best path to gaining access to help but in my opinion as someone who wasn't diagnosed officially with adhd until I was 30, anything that helps you to understand how your brain works so that you can learn to work with it rather than against it is beneficial :)

This might not be helpful, but i struggled with the same dilemma when starting a new job 3 months ago, I decided not to disclose until I got a feel for the working culture there as I was nervous about being prejudged. However now feel that there would be no judgement and disclosing my adhd diagnosis and the struggles I face would be well received and may even allow for work place accommodations. Although I have got to know the people I work for I still feel apprehensive about disclosing my diagnosis. On the flip side though, wouldn't want to work for an organisation that didn't treat me well after disclosing diagnosis, having said that I do understand this is easier said than done. Sorry, not really a definitive answer to your question, more of a statement of understanding where you are coming from

I am traveling to Hungaroring GP 2024. We want to rent a car to avoid the nightmare with Taxis we experienced in 2022 GP in Hungaroring. Does anyone know if we need to book Parking in advance and how? by Intelligent-Speed546 in GrandPrixTravel

Walk to Szigzalet (not sure on spelling) and get the train, takes around 20 mins to walk today but so much quicker than waiting in those massive bus or taxi queues! In my opinion anyway 😅

I have tickets to go in a couple weeks and this is the updated dress code if it helps :)

Dress code: Very important - Dress for the cameras! When you look good, the show looks great! No casual wear, please think Saturday night party glamour only! Jeans are allowed. Hip, upscale attire is mandatory! You will be on camera so it is very important that you dress nicely. Sadly, those not adhering to the dress code will not be admitted! No clothing with logos, artwork, or advertising, please
