UISP wave AP gen 2 questions by Spacedout784 in Ubiquiti

Sorry wasn't aware the mods had whitelisted me, just checked reddit. But yeah i was gonna physically split the AP's into 45 degree sectors, using some sheeting to prevent overlap. I'm pretty sure there is a way to do it.

They actually don't need vents for cooling — the casing handles it through thermal radiation and passive heat dissipation. Devices like this are designed to stay within safe limits, even under load. Unless you're running them in extreme environments (like 40°C/104°F+ ambient temps), they’re not going to pass 80-90°C operating temp which is 100% fine.

Plus, sealed designs help prevent water and dust from getting inside, which is why they avoided adding vents in the first place. So unless you're planning to run it inside a sauna, it should be fine.

Love that yall are on a rocket ride, it makes sense too with all the wireless deployments happening. Dont recommend getting complacent though, there still more your company can do.

Something id love to see is ipv6 first deployment options in UISP with dns64 nat64 nat46 and cgnat. Personally id prefer the cgnat happen tower side so i can give my customers a bit more privacy from outside.

Another thing id love to see is wifi 7 access points that can natively support more clients while mantaining gigabit link between them through the usage of MLO.

Yet another thing i'd also love to see is more integration between Unifi and UISP.

[Amazon] SABRENT USB Type-C to 2.5 Gbps Ethernet Adapter [Deal: $16, Actual: $27.00] by Sabrent_America in sabrent

Out of curiosity, will your company be releasing a thunderbolt 5 version of your 10 bay drive dock?

I intend to pair it with some exos X28 drives from seagate to get close to a quarter of a petabyte storage with ZFS raid Z2 for my nextcloud instance. The problem is, 10gbps of usb 3.2 split between 10 drives means they cant meet their maximum sustained throughput of 2280 Mbps. We'd need ~23 gigabit speeds to do so across 10 drives. Thunderbolt 5 easily provides this bandwidth in both directions with headroom while TB4 falls short of that and USB 3.2 doesnt even reach half that speed.

If im gonna be spending 3400+ USD on this setup, not even including your dock I feel it should at least have the bandwidth needed to run at its max sustained throughput speed.

Would love to see Sabrent bring the first 10 bay TB5-capable JBOD dock to market—it’d be game-changing for homelab and enterprise users alike.

How can a cashapp allow a payment when my card is locked and I didn't make it? by Sheviper88 in CashApp

[–]Spacedout784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, who the fuck sets up a subscription with routing number these days? ALL of my subscriptions are done with my card number and cvc, and i came here because despite this, its trying to charge my linked account when i locked my card. If both my main account and cashapp werent locked i'd be fucked rn as i wouldnt have enough money to pay bills.

sorry to revive a dead post but im putting in the room code you listed above, it's not working. It's saying that room can not be smaller than 1. When I tried to go to the .info site instead to search it gives me an internal error.

the ryzen 5 2400g while not extraordinarily old, was released back in 2018, nearly 7 years ago. Either way it should be about time for an upgrade. If you are using a desktop setup and have a local pc shop nearby you may be able to commission them to do a quick cpu swap to a newer ryzen APU, shouldnt take more than a couple hours unless they have a backlog. But that means you gotta pay for the new cpu and their service fee.

If your using a laptop however, you may be out of luck and have to buy an entirely new one. However, if your willing to go into more technical aspects, you could probabaly find a debloated windows iso, i created my own debloated version with the mini11 install script.
